One of my favourite souvlaki places in Christchurch. Fresh ingredients, nice flavoursome meat and plenty of sauce. Good location in town and very tasty.
I got takeaways. These guys added to my recent run of slow service in fast food. Half an hour from ordering to food being ready. There were only 2 customers ahead of me - I can't fathom why they couldn't process orders faster - hell, they had three people 'working' behind the counter. This gripe aside, the souvalakis, one each lamb and chicken, were excellent. Generous provision of meat, fresh lettuce and tomato (even thou' they're out of season) with a rich sauce. I'd go again on a day when I have plenty of time and a good book to boot.
One of the best souvlakis to be had in Christchurch. Not quite as good as Dimitris for taste, they make up by being slightly cheaper and more consistent.
Chicken, lamb, pork and falafel are fantastic, beef is a bit disappointing compared to the competition. Good service.
I've read good reviews about Mythos Souvalaki and it has not disappointed my family and I when we visited. The portions are huge on top of fresh ingredients and yummy sauce! Will definetely come back to enjoy the rest of the ones in the menu.

Until I found this place I used to frequent Dimitri's quite often, since going here I haven't been anywhere else. This place is truly superb at what they do and severely underrated or unheard of as far as i know.

We ate here this evening and regularly, always been consistent and a good souvlaki, the new owners are also doing a better job than the last in our experience so happy to be a regular.
I find myself finding reasons to go to that part of the city so I can eat another yummy falafel from this place. Such sweet people. Happy to serve you. Wish I could go every day. Seriously
First impressions- the shop is clean, tidy and has a calm atmosphere. 2 local men sat at a table playing chess while eating their meal.
The staff were warm & friendly, attentive & happy to accommodate a specific request with the filling of my souvlaki. The souvlaki itself was generous, great value for money. I paid $18 for a double chicken souvlaki.
The salads were fresh, the meat was delicious (larger chunks versus the typical smaller cuts), with generous portions of sauce too (which most places skimp on!).
Carefully wrapped & packaged with no leaks. Tbh this was one of my favourite souvlakis I’ve ever had, I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend.
There's good food, and then there's this.
Souvlakis of gods, so much amazing food for such a reasonable price. Definitely go for the double meat, it makes this angelical meal ever so slightly better.
Theres some pretty average souvlaki in Christchurch, this is one of the better ones. Actual chunks of meat, good flavors and tasty bread
EPIC! So satisfying, the quality of the ingredients is the key to a great meal. I just demolished a mixed lamb and chicken (it combines well!) and did not want it to end. May the new owners continue to uphold the excellent standards, and best wishes to the outgoing owners 😊
Best Souvlaki in Christchurch. Highly recommend. No other souvlaki compares to here. Fresh quality products. The tomatoes wow! Lovely owners & staff. My favourite takeaway meal in the city 100% & totally filling, value for your money.
Had a good experience, they have best Vegan Falafel in town with fresh Salad.. Staff also asked for top up sauces at no charge Helpful staff with. Surely gonna go back 👍🏻
