this is our second time to Christchurch, also it is my second time to visit this place. The Beijing duck never let us down. The meat is juicy and the crispy skin is always consistent. The staff are always very polite. I highly recommend everyone to try the BBQ duck.
I've been here a few times and I think they deserve a bit more credits. Been there for dim sum and I had no complaints, was quite happy with what we got. I must recommend the three course Peking duck! Mouth watering. For the first course you get the chef to come out and slice the duck in front of you. Always top quality stuff, very crispy skin. I wish there were more vegetables to come with the wrap but I'm not Chinese so maybe that's the appropriate amount for the dish. Then comes the soup, nice and soothing. Then a stir fry dish with the remaining parts of the duck. Maybe I was lucky but the three time I had the duck there, everything's was perfect.
Excellent, outstanding casual restaurant. Service amazing, portions huge, price is ridiculously cheap. Fast service & almost always busy, I would 'Highly recommend' this restaurant to anyone wanting a good generous meal. I'm always treated with smile and a pot of green tea, and fussed over lots by waitress.
I eat at this restaurant fortnight & have never been disappointed.

We had heard about the Peking duck but rather wanted to try the other dishes. Lemon chicken was delicious - not too sweet.
Spicy pork in black bean sauce again was excellent as was the seafood stir fry . Bamboo shoots tasted good but lacked presentation.Atmosphere very pleasant and even a bit authentic! Yes service was a bit slow but if you have good company who cares
The best experience that I stay in Christchurch for trave during the labour holiday. Food and service are excellent with super nice smile on the staff on their face.
Food quantity far more exceed than the price while the restaurant with Chinese traditional decoration.
The roast duck, pork belly, beef, kungpao chicken
dishes and the tofu soup are excellent. The service is friendly to me, looks like a traditional family bussiness only a couple run the restaurant. Due to the culture and language limitation, you may not feel like 5 star services here. The atmosphere feel like Asian. Thanks

Great food, recommend the duck pancakes 👌🏾 Friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. Been there a number of times with different size groups and always had an enjoyable experience.
Highly recommend this restaurant, pricing very reasonable. They are licensed with a decent selection but you can also BYO which makes it that much more affordable dining out.
Fantastic! I really enjoyed it here, it is by far the best Peking duck I've tried. We went for the 1 course duck skin and pancakes and crispy roasted pork. Both amazing but the duck stole the show. Comes with fresh cucumber carrot and onion and when the duck is brought out the chef come to your table with the whole duck and takes all the skin and meat off for you right there while you watch. Only one slight downside is that the prices are a few dollars more expensive for the duck than shown on the website but is shown on the menu at the restaurant. However despite the slight price increase I would say it was still definatly worth the money. I will return again!
You have to try, I think it's No1 roasted Beijing duck in Christchurch, owners keep the traditional way to make delicious food over 20 years.
Most well-known Chinese restaurants does kiwi style faked Chinese meals in chch, so disappoint!
I worked for Cliff 41 years ago.. he is a great chef and makes the best char siu (honey bbq pork) in town...and sweet & sour pork, Beijing pork is fav..try it out...highly recommend

This has to be the best roast duck in Christchurch. I don't know about the rest of New Zealand but this little tucked away place in Riccarton Road is a delightful secret.
