We chicken kebabs in pita bread and had requested the guy there to spice it up - he did not disappoint us at all and we actually sweated on a wintry afternoon in Christchurch - really good stuff and value for money. It is a small place and we saw that many just come and take the food away. Recommended.
We eat here when ever we feel like going to the other side of town. Best in ChCh. Great salad in souvolaki's lots of fresh flavours. The only thing I could fault is sometimes the meat is not hot enough usually when you are not busy. But we will always eat here
Had the Egyptian open Souvlaki, was exceptionally delicious and tasty. Meat was very succulent and really enjoyed the sauces. Happily go again!

The first time we ate at Egyptian Kebab House, it was because it was right across the street from our hotel. The next two times we ate there, it was because we'd loved the food and the hospitality! We tried the open souvlaki, Egyptian Kebab special, the Egyptian Koshary and the Egyptian baked potato, all of which were standout dishes! If you're a vegetarian tourist in Christchurch, do not miss this place.

Excellent, fresh, delicious food! Their fallafel is the tastiest in Christchurch - what a lovely meal. The sauces taste lovely and are not the usual low grade commercial rubbish. I now come here at least twice a week for lunch - love it!
Fantastic - beautiful meal. Really tidy and staff are super friendly. This restaurant lost their original premise in the Sept earthquake and have set themselves up by Subway on Papanui Rd. I've got myself a loyalty card and I'll be back
Very friendly attention and very good food. They took care to bring the food to the table and everything of quality. They have several portions and for all tastes. I recommend the place.
The hubby's and my first time ever trying this souvalaki shop as we usually go to taste of Egypt and this is now going to be out new go to! Hot, fresh, delish, amazing customer service, Shop very clean and tidy. Thank you will be back again soon!
3 meats, large variety of vegetables, reasonable prices, food was awesome, garlic yoghurt and aioli option would make the food 5 stars though ;) however unfortunately the phone line was very hard to communicate with but in saying that they were very patient despite the language barrier and I appreciate that a lot. I highly recommend here for the food. One other suggestion I would make to them that I think would be wise to consider is to make the full range of salad options available on their menu and on website therefor making the options easier to customise. Nonetheless easily atleast 4/5 :)
I'd been craving a gyro all morning and remembered this shop was close by. The owner is super friendly and constructed the best gyro I've had in years. This beauty is half falafel/half kofte...I'll have to make it a point to go back again soon. Cheers!

This is a takeaway but it is possible to eat your meal at a table on the premises. They make fabulous souvelakis and kebabs. Very tasty and very generous amounts
They do an excellent take away meal. You may not be able to park out front so go around the corner and all should be fine there.
I really do strongly suggest that you try this place out as I think you won't be disappointed. Tasty food at a reasonable price.

I've been ordering on the regular since 2021. My first meal on Uber Eats and Boy did it knock it out the park. Best Flat bread I've ever had. good value food you'll find yourself adding a bit more to get the best this place has to offer. Deluxe souvlaki, fries/wedges and extra flat bread is my go too and it hasn't let me down yet. When I rely on a takeaway to fill my stomach, Egyptian Kebab House is the first thing that comes to mind.
