We were actually just entering the riverside market to look for the Penguin Sculpture. We didn’t purchase anything from the bakery but the staff of the Aha bakery was so nice leading us to the sculpture even though it was the time for closing. After knowing we are from Auckland, they even gave us two free bread as presents. We were so moved by them! This is best Christmas gift for us. Their breads are so cute and in kiwi shape! Unfortunately we were leaving tomorrow morning but definitely will come to purchase some food next time we come to Christchurch. Highly recommend to everyone as this bakery is operated by such great people with creative breads!

Love the idea behind the brand bringing awareness about the wildlife of New Zealand with their animal shaped breads and sweets. Super affordable and fresh sandwiches and the whale-shape custard is my favourite dessert 🐳 😋 plus they sell freshly baked pretzels too!! 🥨

Had a deluxe vegan sandwich here today which had lot of vegetables and avocado filling. Two of us shared it and it was very healthy and filling. The cost was 10 nzd which is pretty reasonable as compared to other places in riverside market of Christchurch. They bake their fresh bread. Even their bread with guacamole spread looked could but we could not try it.

Really enjoyed this place. These sandwiches are very tasty and alll ingredients are local and fresh. Now, they have more sweet options which are pretty good. The owners are super friendly and the staff are very smiling and nice. I recommend this place 100%.

Absolutely stunning bakery, so fresh and delicious!! Some of the sandwiches are only $5 and so filling, plus their seeded pretzel whales are to die for!
