Their fried chicken was super juicy and the salmon is really fresh. According to the owner, they have fresh salmon delivered from South Island every week
Don’t be misled by their sizing! The small is actually a very decent and filling portion - I ordered their karage chicken donburi which was made fresh. The chicken was super crispy and juicy! Also a lovely side salad with mashed potato to compliment it. Will be returning!
Delicious sushi. I have nearly smashed through the entire menu and have yet to be disappointed. All the donburi bowls like Katsu chicken, teriyaki chicken, karage pork and chicken even the beef are all on point. very hard to fault. Its cool that they are all available in small, medium and large sizes. So hard to visit this outlet and not add some deep fried cream cheese and salmon sushi.
The staff are always friendly and wait times are Usually minimal. Prices range from $12 meals to $23.
Parking is a lil bit difficult on Great south at times but there is a lil car park around the corner.
Ordered katsu chicken curry for dinner tonight. Curry paste was delicious and the small size was actually quite big. Service was real good. Chef walked up to us to give us the curry. Would definitely come again to try different dishes.
Interesting, fresh and tasty sushi. Haven't tried the hot meals so can't comment. Best for takeaways as they don't have much space for dining in.
I've only tried the sushi rolls here but they are so good! Ingredients are very fresh, even when going here just before 9pm! Much better than any sushi train, and I love that it stays open late as sushi is hard to find after dinner hours. The place is clean and staff friendly. Will definitely be back to try more :)
Yum yum yum!! Most delicious karaage chicken I've ever had the pleasure of devouring, crispy on the outside and not ever dry! Absolutely full of flavour. This is my fave go-to meal in the Epsom area, not only is the food totally on point but the staff are so incredibly delightful! They always smile and really show appreciation for your custom. The service is super quick, 5-10mins wait. Highly recommended guys!!! Go get some chicken 😍😍😍

I absolutely love Rice Kitchen. The menu is great and the sushi is always of a high standard, always made fresh. The staff are lovely and are always willing to make you something personalised if what you are after isn't on display. It isn't somewhere I would go to sit down and have a meal, however it is a great takeaway option and very reasonably priced.
Love Rice Kitchen. Great food, friendly and fast. Always our first option for delicious takeaways. Make sure you get a side of crispy gyoza!
Hands down the best Donburi I've ever had the pleasure of eating, will definitely be going back next time I'm in Auckland. Cosy atmosphere, reasonable prices and friendly service. Food was presented well, and tasted fantastic, much more depth of flavour compared to similar dishes I have tried at other restaurants. Highly recommended.

Great little Japanese take away cafe. A small open kitchen and cafe designed for takeaways. Once you place your order you can watch your food being made and prepared. They have a selection of dishes from Bento Boxes, Donburi, Noodle dishes, Japanese Curry, Sashimi and Sushi, with both meat, fish & vegetarian options. The meals are good sizes and we always enjoy the Bento boxes as they comes with a bit of everything to sample and enjoy. Tonight l had the salmon katsu it was super tasty and the katsu was perfectly cooked. The meals are good value for money, good portion sizes and super tasty.

I have no problem with Rice Kitchen Takoyaki Ball when I eat it. It is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I do not think you have ever had that kind food and should not judge badly. And from the photo look like you eat of all the food.
