Lovely little cafe, came around 10am very busy. But Service nice and fast, seems like a popular local cafe, coz cafe next door ia very quiet.
Cafe Olive is a lovely cafe that hides itself away in a busy spot. The mild Mediterranean theme just makes this place summery and somewhere nice to relax. The coffee is wonderful, the staff are cheery and the small lunch menu is made up for by excellent options.
We almost missed this cafe because of its average rating was only 3.5 when we searched for places for breakfast on our last trip to Hamilton, it was lowest among cafes we found whIch having rating above 3.5. Food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Not to forget mentioning, the Feijoa and Custard muffin was so nice and only available during the Feijoa's season. Surely come back again on next Feijoa's season.. :)
We have been to Cafe Olive a few times now, great service, divine cakes (yes, I have had a few) and fantastic coffee. At the moment there are guest coffees, great idea. Hopefully these will continue.
Great place to cycle too as well, it's located near Bobs bikes. Very handy!

Today after a funeral I brought 5 others in for lunch, I must say Tania and Phil that NEW menu is amazing, the others had the beef burger and thoroughly loved it I on the other hand had the Lamb and kumara salad with the curry dressing, Truly outstanding with all the flavors jumping around in my mouth. The coffees hot, strong and smooth, with one of our guests stating that was the BEST hot chocolate she has ever had. Well done guys very proud of you both and your awesome team.
I will be back for that salad. Yum! Yum! Yum!

I loved the coffee. It has an excellent taste and I have actually bought the beans. The food is delicious and friendly, fast service!
We have breakfast there with staff at the end of the term as their breakfast menu is versatile and there is something for everyone. Although we were a big group everyone got their breakfast in a timely fashion and still hot.
Visited with family for coffee. The cafe was nice and busy but didn't have to wait long for our drinks. The coffee was superb and the staff nice and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We will be back.
Took my Daughter to Cafe olive this morning for brunch, everything was a delight, the eggs Benedict was amazing with the presentation outstanding. Jess had the bagel with pesto and cream cheese and as she is normally a fussy eater enjoyed every mouthful.
The coffee was strong , hot and perfect while the customer service was at it's usual friendly standard, I was hoping to take away one of the amazing looking bubblegum cup cakes but maybe next time . Keep up the great job guys you work hard on your business and it shows in the beautiful food and service . PS Nice back ground music.
Food is wonderful, service friendly and coffee always perfect. Sometimes the building is a bit chili, but would still recommend as great relaxing place for food and coffee.
Am visiting from out of town taking my mother for lunch. Nice atmosphere and pleasant staff. My long black was good slightly bitter aftertaste but that is just the bean. I succumbed to the French toast made with brioche and it was very good. My mother has the corn and zucchini fritters with fries she thought the fritters could have been crispier but otherwise enjoyed her meal and coffee. Recommended cost is moderate $$.

My wife and I enjoyed an exceptional breakfast here very recently. We sat outside and enjoyed the sun. We received a few judging stares off doggie folk, as it appears these seats are favored by them, due to the accommodating water bowl (for the dogs, not the folks). Look forward to going back.

Wide Range of food, it all looks really delicious. For drinks, it'll cost around $5-$6, and for meals from the kitchen, it'll be from $15-$30. The staff are friendly and there are both inside and outside options.
Very nice food (both cabinet and kitchen), great selection of drinks and always fast friendly service. Quite often find myself returning here on work trips. Free wifi too!
