Best chinese restaurant in Rototuna. We've been here a few times and the food is always good quality and generous portion sizes. Definitely worth going.
Came here for a day work trip few months back. Wow, this place has great shangahinese authentic food. Especially their deep fried dishes. Have contemplated multiple times to drive all the way from Auckland just to eat again. I thought hamilton would lack Chinese food options but this I would say trumps all other Shanghainese restaurants out our way.
Amazing food! Xiao long bao is yum and everything tastes so good. Atmosphere is great. Very Oriental. Service is nice. Crew is very helpful and prompt.
Everything was really nice. Loved the sesame fried balls 😋. very fast with bringing out the food. Good size meals, and good prices. The menu had lots of options.
Such a delicious place to go to! Wish more people knew about this restaurant as it doesn’t get to recognition it deserves. We always enjoy every meal we have there and it’s such a nice place to eat with decent prices and just amazing food. Always really fast service, food comes out in 5-10 minutes after ordering! would recommend this to anyone that asks

Very nice Chinese Restaurant in Rototuna Hamilton.
Had staff dinner here last week and the food was amazing. Shop was not so big, with few decent size tables, perfect for big meals with bunch of people.
Ordering was easy as they had a seperate english menu with pictures of the food.
Quality and quantity of food were amazing. Big portion with huge chunks of meat, and very well balanced taste. They weren't too greasy like other Chinese Restaurants and I liked how they served rice in a big pot for us.
One staff there, slim Chinese girl with glasses, she was pretty damn good at sales, upsold extra dishes, even spoke some Korean to amaze us.
Absolutely amazing food. Simply delicious. I ordered the fungi noodle soup, Shanghai pork buns and pork stir fried noodles. Each one had incredible flavour and was made with fresh ingredients.

A cute place restaurant with such lovely decor. The staff was really friendly with excellent service. The food was amazing with great prices for the portion size. Keen to come here again!!
Very authentic Shanghai style food. Every dish we tried was tasty and definitely recommended. It was quiet for Saturday lunch but the service was fairly good for the amount of food we ordered. They offer a wide range of dishes so it may be hard to pick a dish. However, they have a menu book that has photos of the dish and also a screen where they show the food. We will still come back to try the other yummy dishes.
After reading all the low rating comments, me and my colleagues decided to pay a visit and see this rude counter lady. So we went there last week for our food-adventure company lunch... the food was excellent even from a Taiwanese dude's standard, the place was clean and tidy. It is definitely a place I will go back to.
So... What about the service... well... I think it might just be a culture misunderstanding after I meet her in person. When I had business trips in China, it is quite common to see the staffs work in a restaurant serve without smiles whether you are Asian-looking or not. It's just the way they work - smile is not part of their service. Take the previous owner of the Kiso Sushi in Cambridge as an example, the wife was really unfriendly. You will even see her face gets less friendly when you order too much... But man, I miss this old Japanese couples, they made such beautiful sushi...
I was so impressed by this place, the food quality was outstanding and the portions are large. Presentation is great. Honestly even if I had this in china I'd be impressed. Literally the best Chinese food I've had in NZ. They were busy but the food still came out in about 10 minutes or so. I especially recommend the 生煎包 (like a big meat bun with soup in it). Pretty affordable overall. We were a table of 3 adults and we all ate till we're full. Would definitely go back.

We were a party of 8 tonight and we were catered for very well. We had an amazing eating experience. The food was delicious. The portion sizes were good service was great and it was all very reasonably priced. We will definitely go back .

Could not fault the food ordered way too much but every plate was perfect 😋 staff were great. Peking duck pancake was perfection. Inside small and cosy could be bigger but on all 10 out of 10

I read the comments here and found many people are not satisfied with their service. I went here tonight and found the food does taste pretty good and the service wasn't that horrible tho not as friendly as in other restaurants. Price there are quite reasonable as well. It still worth a try anyway.
Tasty, quality food: stir fried pork, mixed mushrooms & sizzling egg plant with pork filling. Soopa Yummy 😋 & BYO is a plus.
