This is a wonderful shop very friendly staff and very accommodating. Recently they gave away a bunch of cupcakes and a cake to sell as a donation to the victim of the Christchurch massacre. That's compassion for you, that doing something and not just talking about it.
PLUS their cup cakes are amazing, yes they are sweet... thank goodness. the range of different cakes is quite something to see. my favourite... the Gruffalo cupcake :) . Thank you all... I'll be back lots.
Amazing dairy free and gluten free cupcakes. First time I’ve had a store brought cupcake in years because of allergies. Didn’t have a reaction at all which is a huge bonus
Been to this place numerous time. I have tried cakes cupcakes and fudge. Nice for a treat! Lewis Whittaker cupcakes was the last thing I had from here $6 each. As I now live out of Hamilton when I come back and when I feel like something sweet this is where I come. Pity I can't get your goodies up in Auckland 😣
Lovely staff! Lovely products cakes and cupcakes! Staff are always happy to help and the cakes are very good dense quality!m for such a reasonable price. Hope one day theyll make a cafe somewhere!
We had read somewhere that this shops makes fudge made with Lewis Road Creamery milk and Whittaker's chocolate. It was a must find for us whilst in town.
It's mainly a cake decoration shop that makes their own fudge, cakes, and cupcakes. There was a wide variety of fudge available within samples given out. For us, there was only one fudge we were really interested in. We have never spent so much on fudge alone before.
By the time we left, there was a queue of people waiting to go in. The assistant told us they do deliver to Auckland, this sounds very dangerous to me............................

Great Place for amazing cupcakes that will temp even the most robust dieter. Chocolate with little red rose's iced over the top sprinkled with the finest glitter. Kiddies Sesame Street characters and many other options that change from day to day.
I got a breakfast cup cake for my daughter with a cone of cream icing holding a square of candied bacon and drizzled with maple syrup. It looked and she assures me tasted “awesome and not even that sweet.”
My Grand-daughter got a chocolate cupcake which in-closed a dollop of caramel and decorated with vanilla cream frosting and drizzled with dark caramel syrup. She was distracted from getting it out of the box as she was memorized watching the staff icing the cakes through the large window into the work room, what skill! The tiered special cakes and huge selection of fantasy cupcakes to keep you coming back for months.
You'd better sign up to weight watcher before entering this shop as the temptation may well prove way too much.
They also stock a great range of cake decorating supplies. Would be great to turn this shop into a cafe or at least serve takeaway coffee to compliment your goodies. Yes we will be back!
Cupcakes are absolutely divine - moist and delicious and the fudge is truly amazing! Lovely giftware and lovely staff!

Beautiful little shop in Chartwell that has lovely, friendly staff. The cupcakes are incredible, especially the lemonator and whittakers cupcake. Soft, fluffy cupcakes with decadent frosting and toppings. The hot drinks are absolutely amazing too. Well worth the trip if you are looking for a treat or hot drink on the go. Variety of milks available too.
Isaac and his team were very professional throughout the entire process of planning our cake. He created a beautiful cake that was almost identical to the photo we had shown him. Not to mention it was absolutely delicious. Thank you!!

I came in for dairy free coffee and cupcakes on the weekend and everything was delicious! Alternative coffees are a hit and miss in Hamilton but the barista did well. There was a range of dairy free milks which was nice. The vegan cupcake was also good. Tasty and moist.
Service was also 10/10, very friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Bought a box of twelve cup cakes here, first time I’ve been here and was great. Lots of different flavour cup cakes, a selection of cakes, and other slices, also birthday stuff like balloons etc. it was about $6 per cup cake, so a good option for smaller kids parties if you don’t want to buy cake. Other things in the shop were decorations for making your owns, icing blocks etc. worth a look if you have a birthday or celebration coming up.
Bought 6, only 2 made it back home.
The vanilla icing is light and not overly sweet. The dark chocolate is indeed very chocolaty.
Would definitely come back next week for more.
The new team at the girl on a swing make amazing cakes and cupcakes, the best I have had in fact. They also do great coffee. I highly recommend checking them out !!
