This cafe seems to have very little French influence, despite its marketing. The wait times have been long each time I’ve been, none of which have been at especially busy times. That being said, the staff are friendly and food is delicious. I would recommend the seafood chowder. The location and setting are also lovely, which all together make me willing to look past the long time spent waiting for food.

Walked in & was instantly welcomed by a staff member. We ordered our meals & it arrived 30 minutes later. Didn't mind the wait, as it was a beautiful late morning. So my hubby & I sat outside & chatted about family & work. Food arrived with a smile, & we absolutely love our meals. My husband had a beef burger with fries, & I had seafood chowder with crispy bread. It was delicious!! Compliments to the chef. I love the place, the decor is of French influence & it had a warm feeling to it. Will visit this place again. Thank you to Saint Lazarre Cafe!
I've been here twice while in Hamilton for work and both times the food was generous portions and delivered in a timely manner. A nice little café tucked away
Discovered one of Hamilton's best kept secrets this week. Their seafood chowder with french pastry on top was to die for. Sat in the sun in the courtyard area and was so pleasant. thank you so much for your excellent food and service.

This is in Casabella square just round the corner from the bus stop. Just time for a quick drink before going to a funereal. The coffee was well made and hit the spot and we had a couple of little cakes which were yum.
I love this cafe. The coffee is very good. I have only tried the cabinet and found it delicious. It is my place to go for some peace and quiet. I love sitting outside in the plaza area.

The food was mostly good too, but whatever that was on my eggs benedict, it wasn't hollandaise. It was very nice, mind you.
They serve a long black properly with good coffee, hot water on the side and I also have cream on the side. Indoor and outdoor tables.
