Not sure about the food......cane here for the drinks n party.......drinks were good....all sorts shots and various other stuff......just feels slightly conjugated with the limited space to dance but others a sweet place to burn the midnight oil.
We sat at the Outdoor causal street seating and ordered the fresh grilled fish, battered bits, hand cut chips and a fresh minty purée. Great take on the original. Delicious!
We had a deal voucher for lunch - two mains and two glasses of wine. I had beer battered fish and the chef did a special pan fried version for my husband, which wasn't even on the menu! Both meals were very tasty and good size but left a wee space to finish off with the cheeseboard.
The service was also excellent, very friendly and knowledgeable staff, also very obliging. We enjoyed our meals so much we are going back for dinner this Saturday.
Great service, manager and bar manager have a great appreciation of their craft, modesty and hospitality. The staff go out of their way to ensure you enjoy the experience and it is great value for money!
First time visit to Diva, I was very impressed with the friendly and efficient service, the ambiance and the food. Lovely fresh ingredients, beautifully presented, thoughtfully combined and adequate quantity at a reasonable price. We will definitely be back . 22/08/2014 Dined again at Diva, and I have no reason to change my opinion. I opted for the fish, which was bluenose on polenta with a salsa which incorporated brussel sprouts, an interesting addition I would never have thought of. My husband ordered seared scotch fillet which was perfectly cooked, and will be my dining choice next visit. The cabbage, peas and bacon side which our waitperson recommended was delicious. The wine list featured local wines and my Askerne Pinot Gris was just right.
We sat outside in front of the bar rather than in the dining room and ordered from the bar menu. A nice variety of averagely priced tapas. We enjoyed all the ones we had, the blue cheese wontons were especially nice. Cheerful atmosphere with attentive prompt service. The only detraction was a loud foul mouthed man at the next table who unfortunately appeared to be a regular so may make me think twice about having to go and listen to his rantings next time.
Very very good service!!! The menu has a wide range from salads to pizza. Not your average pizza however, it is a thin crust with the topping evenly dispursed!!!EXCELLENT
Good amount of food for your money. Go early if you have a younger family as it does get a little busy with the bar in the evenings.
I am looking forward to another lunch at DIVAS!!!!
To be honest we went to Diva because we thought Kent Baddeley was still there and we had fallen in love with his exciting, inventive cooking back when he was at Clearview. However, we found he has moved and that does show a little in the menu which we would call more 'safe'.
That said, we had a lovely dinner. The snapper was 10/10 and the confit duck was great. However, too many restaurants are nowadays putting only one confit duck on the plate, instead of two. Diva is one of those, so that makes it less value for money when you are out for dinner.
The wine list was great and the warm cosy atmosphere very welcoming. We suggest going early, as the place gets noisy later on when the bar heats up.
As a Restaurant, Diva has good food in their menu. Not a lot, but the variety of dishes was there. Makes it easier to choose. Great selection of beers and and spirits.
I’ve tried the Lamb Shanks and it was beautiful! The portion was great as well! The chips/fries we bought for the table had this tartare sauce (I think), and it was nice! The fries themselves were pretty good, tbh.
Also been there when it turns into a dance floor late at night. Pretty cool place to jam. Not really into going out like such, so no other comments.
Fee points, staffs can smile more. We have a great waitress (wasn’t able to get her name), as she was checking on us. Just top it off with a smile.
Ambience is great. You can chill outside; and, inside, you can either be in a resto a bit in the fine dining edge side or the bar side.
Overall, great experience for me! Price to food ratio is great for me, with where the world is going now.

I never expected I had the best chicken burger in Diva in my life. The burger is so delicious and the fries are crispy!

Wow absolutely amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was 5⭐ and so reasonably priced. This is the second time we have been there on our holiday up here. We will definitely be going back again.

The $15 lunch menu is great value, bigger portion that you'd expect and tasty as well. Staff were friendly with prompt service. Will definitely be back.

Food was OK, while waiting we did notice one of the meals sat under a heat lamp for well over 10min while the rest of the food was being prepared. Our server admitted he didn't even work there so couldn't even tell us if food was spicy and didn't even offer to ask the chef.
Our new favorite bar place in havelock, food is nice and comes out so fast, pricing is fair , customer service is great, always made sure if we were ok, tidy area thanks diva

Wonderful lunch on a cold day.We ordered from the $15 lunch menu the chicken was crispy and the ribs melt in your mouth. The staff were happy and helpful and the portions were generous and delicious.
