The best most accomodating Chef in town, went out of his way to prepare a special meal to suit dietary requirements. Beautiful tasting food and very reasonaby priced. Also one if the best, if not the best, vegetarian option in Hawera. I highly recommend this friendly delicious restaurant, thank you.

We ended up in Towns Takeaway during our road-trip up north and decided to dine in.
The staff was so nice even though we came in shortly before closing time and the food was just delicious! We’d especially recommend the Karahi Chicken curry (might be one of the best Indian curry’s I’ve ever had), Rotis and the chocolate naan for dessert 😉
Probably the best place in Hāwera for Indian cuisine. The menu/recipes of the food served are customised or “fusioned” for the Kiwi tastebuds.
Tried both the Chef’s Special Goat and Venison curry combos, and they are worth trying. Probably, this is the only Indian restaurant in Taranaki or North Island that serves Venison.
The service was excellent, and the food was served within reasonable time. The person who took my order was friendly and also recommended the spice levels.
The quantity/quality of the food served was worth the money. The naan was thin and well cooked unlike other Indian restaurants that serve soft/chewy/rubbery.
The only negative was both goat and venison recipes/masala were similar, and tasted bit sweeter (too much of onions?). Would have been better if Chef made one of the dishes differently (black pepper based?) to highlight the goat or venison flavour.
Will definitely visit this place whenever I cross Hawera.
Really nice food ultra cheap. The quantity was awesome as well, got lunch for tomorrow out of it. Very much recommend the kohlapuri curries. Great gem in Hawera. They could do with sprucing up the ambience. But the food and prices and service were so good I cannot reduce a star for it.

I've NEVER had a bad meal and the staff are always so welcoming and accommodating.
I've had both take away meals and dined in for lunch and dinner. It's my favourite!
