Really a 5 star place. Food was excellent. Everything we ordered was good.
Venison stew 5/5 - easily the best stew I ever tasted. With a huge loaf of bread that I kept dipping in the stew even though I was so full.
Lamb rump 5/5 - another masterpiece. The meat was tender and had little to no gamey taste.
Seafood chowder 5/5 - no fishy taste at all. Chowder was creamy and full of flavour.
Easily one of the best restaurants in town.
We celebrated our families special ladies 89th. We all thoroughly enjoyed. Food delicious, but maybe just on the "too large" side. Smaller plates and price would be appreciated. Couldn't fault the staff. Brilliant and atmosphere very appealing and spotless. Many thanks.
Great experience had the baked Brie entree my wife had steak which was cooked perfectly and my seafood chowder was delicious compliments to the chef. Very friendly and helpful Staff. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Can’t praise this place enough, the only good restaurant with delicious food to die for… and amazing!!! service!!!!! both crucial things present in the same restaurant, apart from ‘buster crab’ in Invercargill!!!!

Great meal had by the three of us. Waitress was so polite and friendly. Meals were fantastic. Surf and turf really good steak cooked the way I like it. Creme brulee to die for. Service was fast and efficient. Compliments to the chef and all the staff working there tonight. 👌
A fantastic meal here with excellent service.
It is a nice restaurant but a bit expensive for what you get in terms of food. Food was never bad, don't get me wrong, just a little expensive for what was served. Drinks are also more expensive than in the pub next door, despite the beer being the exact same and the atmosphere being similar.
Nice meal and setting but can rather noisy if you want a quiet dinner out.
