Loved this places and food, especially the service! Will definitely be back to try other things from the menu, I ordered the chicken and my partner ordered steak, garlic sauce was such a beauty, well the whole meal was a beauty and this was for breakfast too.
We got the coupon from groupon to give it a try. Was actually surprised with their servings, it was huge compared to the other stone grill places we've been to and the meat was perfectly marinated! Definitely going back for more😁
Loved it here everytime i came here, ive had my 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st birthday here.. Love the music.. but most importantly i love the steak best ive had and will continue to come here every year, its far from my home but i will still come here for my birthdays and to go out to
This is not the most nice looking place to eat but without a doubt the staff are super friendly and accommodating, and the food was delicious! :) The pros definitely out way the cons, would recommend coming here for a nice family meal. Would come again.
Indoor was a little tired, but the outdoor area was good especially during summer. We went as a group, the food was great at its price and we enjoyed our evening there.
It's a good size area in side an out the service was pretty layed bk not in your face completely but good the food was the right amount of portions n meat went well with wine 🍷 or beer 🍻 out side was good to get fresh air n catch up with people's
Best hot rock steak i have tasted. Love the chill atmosphere and the staff are very helpful and pleasant. Creme brule & chicken pasta is also a must try. Good food good music good vibes
The stone grill they serve here is actually really good. It tastes much better than other places I've tried. I like the outdoor sheltered area - it's cosy and gives off happy vibes, especially during the summer. I'm definitely keen to come back here in the near future.
Empty venue - probably fills up later than when I was there because it has music Pool table & Pokies.
Empty was good for me - food arrived quickly - was tasty and value for money.
Compared to what's out there for dining - this place comes up with Aces.

I have been here 3 times (each using a voucher) and it has been enjoyable with each visit. Most recently we purchased the hot stone plates, one with eye fillet and the other with lamb rump. In both cases the meat was of high quality and the stones nice and hot. The food came quickly. The staff are friendly. It is a wonder this place is not busier.
I would recommend if you are after a casual evening with family or friends to try Palm Bar.
Keep an eye out for the vouchers to get the best value.
Love the food here, they deserve more acknowledgement for their food. Great price range. The mussels are delicious Can't go wrong here. Maybe if they add on seafood chowder then it will be a home run..
Plenty of parking and really lovely staff in this pub/restaurant/lounge. I find the “African” theme a bit uncomfortable - it’s more American in menu and style. The tables are beautiful solid slices of wood but there aren’t really any comfy spots to sit - with the exception of a large corner sofa that I wouldn’t risk skin contact with. The food is okay - well prepared but the quality of the chicken was a bit disappointing. You need free range flavour for hot-stone skewers, or at least leg meat. The retro shrimp cocktail, however, was excellent. Really enjoyed it. There is a good selection of beers and ciders on tap, good prices across the board, outdoor seating and a pool table so a lot to like. BIG points for having real peace lilies! Love plants and hate plastic ones 🪴🌿 All round decent pub.
The food is excellent, giving 4 stars for the food rating because I feel they could serve a lot more wedges in the small basket provided, actually looks like a serving for a young child rather than an adult, hopefully next visit will be different as we've become locals..... other than that the staff are very friendly and create a warm atmosphere for you to enjoy your evening whilst dining there.....
Enjoyed a beautiful lunch with family today, we ordered the beef burger with fries, was delicious, the size of the burger is quite big.The chefs special was coconut Mussells with garlic bread was amaaaazing, and a Rump Steak eith mushroom sauce, salad and fries. Every meal was delicious, juicy, flavourful. We will be back. Photo of my burger only lol
What an absolutely awesome place to eat and drink. I wish there was a rugby game on I would have stayed longer. Four of us ordered Rump Sandwich, Eye fillet,Rump and Rib meals with a bowl of mussels all covered in Garlic Sauce. My daughter ordered the creme Brule, which was all amazing. We are from out west and to say this food is amazing is an understatement. Well worth it and definitely going back. Try it.
Went in on a Wednesday night and it was pretty quiet patron wise.
The staff were friendly and accommodating and gave off a pretty nice vibe. Stuck around for a few hours to play pool and have some drinks. The drinks were pretty cheap, around $10 for a spirit+mixer and roughly same costing for a large pint off the tap. Pool table is $2 a game but there's also Darts in the establishment. Food was YUMMM! I only had chicken wings and fried but they were delish!!! Could smell a few of the dishes that others had ordered and it made my mouth water. This place didn't close until 3am. Really nice place, just needed the music to be a little louder 😊
All this plus a jug of juice for under $75. Great place for food although the bar looks outdated dont judge until you have tried their food. Absolutely worth your money. Staff are friendly nice vibes in here. Its our usual spot.

Pricing was reasonable. That's uncommon to find in Auckland.
One thing that stood out was, the meat did not stick to the stone. Which is also uncommon. That could be due to a layer of oil. On the downside, because it is sizzling, the oil will spray. (Most stone grill will have meat sticking to it)
Overall, still a great experience. Highly recommend for the great service and reasonably priced menu!
