Food For Thought is potentially the best Cafe in the Wairarapa-just sneaking ahead of Wild Oats of Carterton. The coffee is simply world class, strange for a town such as Masterton. Cooked breakfast and baked goods are of good quality-perfect for young families. The service for me is whats stands out from the crowd-Management is always present! The owners set high standards in all areas, constantly on the move surveying their Cafe as to retain high standards both in their staff and product. The staff are polite and very professional, always greeting you by name and making charming conversation. There coffee is always served quickly and if there is going to be a wee delay they let you know on purchase. As patrons go I am very hard to please and never once had any disappointing moments whilst enjoying my Daily Latte Bowl. The owners of this establishment could take Cafe Management Classes at as to educate others on how to run a professional Business.Don't ever change Team-I look forward to enjoying my usual cup of Joe next time I am back in country.
Excellent food, good selection, variety, and always fresh. Toilets are clean (that's got to reflect on their kitchen) and staff very good at what they do!

I’ve never had a bad experience here. Lovely staff, great food & the best mochas. The only cafe I go to in Masterton. Great variety of food & drink. Self serve cafeteria style.

First time here, recommended by neighbours. I can see why they recommended it, excellent selection of counter food and breakfast food. I just wanted a bacon buttie and I was pleased that I could get one which wasn't on the menu. I wasn't disappointed it was delicious, the flat white coffee was excellent, even complimented the barista.
Definitely will come back.
The food was simple food that tasted great. There wasn't a huge range of different items available, but what was there looked and tasted fresh. Staff served us with a smile and quickly. We did comment to each other that the decor didn't seem to match the food - as it kind of implied Eastern Europe bakeries, but the food was very kiwi.

Absolutely delightful cafe. The scones are monsters and utterly DELICIOUS. I will definitely be using this as my preferred eatery in Masterton.
Excellent selection and even more impressive service, they do a bottomless cup and its using good coffee not instant. I had a cinnamon date scone which was magnificent. 3 of us different choices and all very impressed. Great value great food and service.
They make the best coffees and always know when I'm coming, they get my X/Lg Double shot latte with coconut milk ready and it's so divine 🤩 Gorgeous food, friendly as staff 🙌🙌🤩

Been eating here since I was knee high to a grasshopper. Standards have always been high & never changed. I'd crawl over broken glass to eat one of those little savory pie things. If heaven made pies, that's what they'd taste like. Quality over quantity. Great Team who represents the business well. Thankyou Food for thought, still classy & putting other cafes to shame after all this time. 👍
