Great little spot for a meal, my 3 companions really loved their meals (lamb shank + steak). I had the vegetarian burger, definitely had an issue with it being over cooked and dry, however I let the manager Linda know and she dealt with it extremely professionally and well, definitely appreciate management that will rectify a problem.
I would recommend this place for any meat eaters, but maybe not for vegetarians (there was a warm cous cous salad option available for vegetarians too). Also recommend to book a table :)

Had a lovely meal last night that consisted of, garlic bread, succulent pork belly, and an ice cream sundae. The staff were wonderful, who gave great service which complimented the awesome experience. If you want to end a day of exploring this wonderful area of New Zealand, then this is the evening destination for you.
Had dinner here last night. Great choice of food an the menu and healthy portions. Service was excellent - friendly and helpful. And the calamari, in the words of our 7 year old, “was perfection”. Really, the best calamari I have had in a long time. So good in fact, that we had 2 plates. Great with the small play area which kept small child entertained so husband and I could enjoy our meals and a glass of wine. Huge kudos to the Brazilian family who run this place. Amazing find - keep up the good work.
Impeccable steak and drinks! I’m not even a meat eater but decided to try it was the Friday special steak deal, and it was amazing one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! It consists of 200g of sirloin steak and comes with fries and an egg. The service was incredible the lady Linda
serving the front who was also our waitress was so good and kind and made sure we had everything we needed and that we enjoyed our meal, Thank you green parrot! We will definitely come back again !
Fantastic family dinner had - the restaurant was busy but coped seamlessly with our large group, the food came out in a timely manner, the kids were entertained , no surcharge, food was delicious and the highlight was the staff ! Linda you’re a true asset to the restaurant!
It’s a great little place always busy it’s the first time that we’ve been there we part of the feed show with hosts Ronnie and Mon food fantastic also staff too.
I recommend steak fantastic and great menu prices reasonable it’s a very busy little place very friendly and very comfortable.

My family and I all had the 200g sirloin steak.
I have never had such good steak, cooked so perfectly. I’m not a gravy person, but the gravy in the beef was delicious, and the egg on the side satisfied all the differing tastes in eggs my family has.
For only $19, this is easily the best value meal I’ve ever had in the Southern Hemisphere.
We didn’t book, so was lucky to get the little nook in the corner around 5pm. Then they did get busy, but the main manager was efficient, she did kinda fly off mid service to our table, overall it was pretty good and we enjoyed the very very fast meal!
