We really enjoyed our breakfast in The Favor Flavour. We ordered big breakfast, omelette with bacon and pancakes. Everybody was very-very happy! Also coffee of medium size is equal to large coffee in other places. I took a coffee to compare large size, medium size and bottle of water.
First time trying this cafe! Will absolutely be back. I was craving a warm muffin and my partner was craving a good hearty lunch. After walking around for nearly an hour, we stumbled across these guys and so glad we did! Good variety for vegetarians, absolutely loved my Savory muffin that I had to get another one. Great sized portions and very friendly staff
This place was amazing! The owner spent time talking to us about the menu and really figuring out what we like. He also made us a special pancake and brought it out to us to try! Such a great atmosphere, incredible service, and the food was delicious!! Highly recommend stopping here while in town :)

What a great find!!! Extensive menu including breakfast options (who has waffles AND French toast AND pancakes, eh?) and every type of brunch meal and more: burgers, curries, sandwiches, bagels, muesli, gorgeous baked goods in the cabinet, every flavour milkshake. Delightful lady served us and we chose the pancakes and the Waffles with marshmallows, chocolate and ice cream. You could also get the Waffles with fried chicken!!
Omg. The pancakes weren’t big buttermilk types or crepes but somewhere in the middle: 3 lovely, fluffy pancakes with a raspberry sauce and soft bananas and sprinkled generously with icing sugar. So enjoyable.
The Waffles: 3 big chocolatey waffles with marshmallow and chocolate and yummy vanilla ice cream.
And beautiful coffees, a large latte bigger than I’ve got anywhere else.
The cafe itself isn’t large but the seating is comfy and despite the big range of cooked food on offer (and the constant stream of patrons!) it wasn’t filled with smoke or cooking smells of any kind. Such a lovely place to go. My pancakes were $16 and the Waffles might have been $21 from memory, but well worth it. Bulavinaka to the staff at the cafe, we enjoyed our visit enormously.
As a chef, I think this cafe is one of the best in New Plymouth.
Every meal are full of flavor and have presented well.
The staff are very nice and friendly.
Have been several times granted my husband is from Fiji so he always loves to come and have a good feed of fijian kai.
I love how they have a mixture of fijian & western food. You are spoiled for choice. The cabinet is always well stocked & the outside area is great on a hot summers day. Recommend visiting if near the Richmond centre or visiting New Plymouth.

We were passing by and got curious about the Island Barbeque dish. When we enquired about it, the staff offered us some Chicken Palau. That dish had such a unique combination of spices that we had to order, together with the Island Barbeque.
The size of the meal was very good and we even got a free desert! I'd definitely go back!
Kind team. Delicious kai. Turmeric latte and chop suey were beautifully prepared and tasted delightful. Wide range to try here. Look forward to tasting the raw fish next time. Thank you team Favor Flavour. Highly recommend this place :)
Best fish and chips I had! Very good coffee too. Cook and waitress are very nice. Definitely recommend!
Just came in because we were craving milkshakes, but the food looked super yummy as well. In the end we had a decaf Mocha, a Feijoa & Apple Smoothie which was very refreshing and delicious and the bhajiya, which were really good as well! Also had a really nice conversation with Parkana, who took the time to answer all our questions with a big smile on her face.
If you are in the area and are looking for a snack in a nice atmosphere, I would recomend Favor Flavour 100%!
