Crispy chips with good quality fish, battered but not soggy, salty but not too salty. Generous portions, cheaply priced and friendly service. Will be back.

Exceptional 'gourmet' fish and chips. Everything here is just a little higher quality and a little more special. I particularity appreciate they way they serve/wrap everything separately, so the fish is never in with the chips and soggy, even the fritters are served in their own little bag. Makes a big difference!

also I got the grilled snapper salad. it was delicious. fresh & crisp. the fish was cooked perfectly, not greasy and not too much dressing.
We have been here a few times before. It's a step up from your regular burger joint, with a lot of items made in house and a selection of salads on the menu.
Today we made a phone order for two veggie burgers, a hamburger, a kids hamburger and chips. The phone was answered straight away and everything was ready when they said it would be. This came to $30:50 for a family of 4.
The lack of parking right outside can be off putting on cold winter nights, but the food is always good.

Big Tummy: Being one of my absolute all-time faves, I've somewhat made it a personal mission to find the best seafood chowder in Auckland. And in Captain Kerrs homemade offering, I think we have a clear winner. I've tried seafood chowder at restaurants and takeaway establishments all over Auckland and, quite simply, none of them come close to the taste and assortment of whole seafood that comes with the chowder at CK. At $8.50 for a regular serving, with whole prawns, scallops and mussels (along with the usual diced fish and calamari) they really do put some of the other more fancied places to shame. Located right on the beach, you really couldn't ask for more from a fish'n'chips store. Heck, we live 30min away from Orewa and would still rather make the drive up there, than settle for any of the local offerings.
Little tummy: Hands down the best seafood chowder in Auckland. For less than $10 you get more seafood than you would for double the price at some other places (for shame - you know who you are). The regular serving always leaves me super full, but I still find myself finishing it every time (mainly to stop my bf from eating it!). Pick up some bread rolls from the super market and treat yourself a trip to CKs for their seafood chowder. It's well worth the trip!

Good fish, especially crumbed or grilled. Snapper burgers are good too. Often during busy times you have to wait for 10-20 minutes, but worth the wait.
Great place for a Summer dinner. Recommend fresh snapper, grilled prawns or scallops and pumpkin fritters.
You can miss the rash by going after 6.30pm.
Very nice, phoned an order thru & 10 mins later picked it up, all neatly placed in a box to carry it out in. Seafood chowder (large) is HUGE - way more than expected (bonus) & lots of nice chunks of seafood. Fish of the day was some of the nicest fish I've had, & hot dog's were great. Chips were very tasty & nicely cooked.
Best fish and chips on the Coast, fish is very fresh and fillets are a generous size. Nicely battered, thin and crispy and not oily, chips equally good. Highly recommend the battered oysters too. Looking forward to trying their burgers next time but if the fish and chips are anything to go on then they'll be more than decent.
Foods good for a quick stop for some fish and chips, although the chips almost seem floury and dry, I got squid rings and hotdogs last time and the odor from the packet wasn't nice smelling, very fishy. Food didn't taste fishy, so not sure why it smelt like that. Milkshakes are amazing !!!
I live here for 5 years and I have their fish and chip almost every fortnight. The fish is the standout here; one bite will leave you wanting more. The fish is fresh and crispy outside, without leaving an oily after taste. The chip is crispy and fluffy on the inside. I think i have the best fish and chip in Auckland !!! Good to try it out for sure !!!
Food was very yummy. My kids loved the chicken nuggets and chips. Fish was melt in your mouth good and the egg burger went down a treat. Service was great with less than 10minute wait and our food brought out to where we were sitting
Top one Fish and Chips in Hibiscus Coast. Strongly recommend the Grilled Scotch Fillet Burger and Cajun Snapper Burger. My family all time favourites!
One of the nicer place to have fish and chip in auckland. Quite affordable for the hearty amount of serving. Battered snapper and the chip is spot on and delicious. Definitely coming back here again next week. Highly recommended!
Great fish & chips very long wait, Over an hour wait on a Fri nights. Pays to phone order through, don't order over Internet, the phone system can't handle the volume of calls.
We tried their snapper and chips a week ago on a Sunday and it was nice.Chicken nuggets weren't that great.

But I have to say.they were absolutely deeeeeelicious+ a faaarkn great price .
