Just fabulous, food is great.Mon to Thurs they do express lunch at $13 my husband loves their seafood chowder and fish and chips and the mussels are fab.
Its a great meeting place and there is loads of space for families kids can run around outside. We just love it might go there again today
Great share platters....the Green Curry Mussells were to die for! Awesome having so much space for kids to play. Will def go back!
Came here for a hens do and it was perfect, we sat outside on the big grass area and had shelter which was really nice, ordered food and drinks the food came out so fast and was delicious and hot. The hospitality was wonderful would 100% recommend and go back again :)
Came here for a drink and nibbles on a Friday after work. We had the Asian platter which had a nice selection, i really enjoyed the money bags.
Ordered the ravioli special , it was amazing . We also came few weeks back and ordered crispy pork belly special with roast kumara.best pork belly we ever had ! Great atmosphere and good music . Now they have great special dishes .. love this place !
I ordered a vege stack which was delicious; the flavours all complemented each-other and the halloumi was cooked exactly how it should be, however meals prices were a bit steep for a pub but definitely your money's worth, I shared a creme brûlée cheese cake with a mango sorbet, which was the highlight of my visit, never have I been impressed with cheese cake before but this was the best cheese cake I have ever tasted hands down, dense but smooth and the sorbet was refreshing it paired with the cheesecake perfectly, the atmosphere was loud/busy but it was nice having dinner with a live band playing outside. The staff were helpful and polite, will be back here for sure overall very pleasant experience enjoyed with family!
What a great pub. Went for a drive & stopped here for lunch. Beer was cold. Service friendly & live music. Bouncy castle for kids if you have any but not over run by kids. Locals were lovely & even shared their mussels with us. Definitely order them if you go beautifully cooked in curry sauce. We had non-seafood platter which was generous, 3 cheeses, salami, salmon with old style little onions, olives & stuffed little peppadews. Will come here again.
Only been once so far, but we will be back. Awesome backyard for kids and plenty of other space for those without. Friendly staff, and well priced food.
Always great pub grub as in pub food, come here with my parents quite a bit for dinner. I always enjoy the food, the burgers are great, bacon sammie is good, my dad loves the fish bites and wedges always good service and I've had breakfast before too here for a hot rod event and that was really nice even though there's not much to choose from for breakfast it was tasty overall always a gray time when I come to the Wade
If your looking for a 'special celebration' venue this could cater well. Tavern ambiance divided into sections allowing enough privacy without crashing another party. Great out door area that is perfect for kids. Basic hearty menu eg wedges, chips and aioli etc. Loads of parking. Overall good experience.
Had a few dinners and a brunch at the Wade. Great food and service...very casual dress and kiddie friendly. Brunch sitting outside on the deck was lovely over summer. We'll be back.
Have been to this place twice. Both times I have been suitably impressed with our meals. I really love their 3 cheese garlic bread. Would recommend.
Was a great place to take our family including kids, prices are like any bar n restaurant, a little over average. But was good food, great service and comfortable atmosphere.
My family used to go there when they were younger, they say its nothing like how it used to be. But was still a good vibe.
I love The Wade. Oliver is an amazing host and the food is absolutely superb. I’ve been there 3 times in the last 3 weeks and have enjoyed the experience. The only negative is the heating. Our table of 8 commented on how cold it was. When I approached the staff they explained the heating wasn’t working. Sadly until it is summer or heating restored I can’t take friends or family as it’s just too cold. Congratulations though to the Owners for employing such incredible staff.
Love these old style pubs. Came here for lunch with my mum and daughter. Lovely backyard for the kids to play while the mums enjoy a wine in the sun and the staff were lovely. Will definitely be back in summertime :)
Great historic building, with a nice variety of indoor and outdoor areas. We found the service swift and friendly, though the venue was a bit too quiet to have any atmosphere. Live music would work really well here.
Had a great lunch here with a group of 24. Ribs were excellent and everyone else enjoyed their meals. Atmosphere and service great. Would definitely go again.

I don't know where they get their mussels from but they were not good at all. These had black shells with hardly anything in them. Nothing like the wonderful green shelled NZ mussels.

They also do a delicious streak special
Highly recommend if you are looking for a chill place to have lunch
