Absolutely amazing, so glad we picked this place whilst walking along the strand trying to decide where we were going to eat. Cute outdoor area and the service was amazing!! Very impressed, we ordered the pork belly, Bloody Mary oysters, croquetas, chargrilled kingfish and the kids chicken skewers with polenta fries all of it was top notch couldn’t fault anything. Highly recommend coming here you will not be disappointed. We will be back next time we visit beautiful Tauranga!
Excellent from start to finish. Service was fantastic and friendly. Great wine list. Food was superb. Priced extremely well. This will be a regular whenever I am in Tauranga. Amazing.
Incredible service, friendly staff. Came here to kill some time with a bottle of wine, bought some polenta fries and received the cauliflower & truffle croquettes on the house - both were delicious! We ended up getting another round of both. The food came out nice & quickly, couldn’t rate the place higher. Very happy, I wish more places in Auckland had a service of this high standard.
The food was absolutely devine. The setting was beautiful, especially sitting outdoors and the staff was so lovely. Such a great place to dine. We will definitely be back.
Simp,y the best little place to dine in Tauranga. We went here Friday evening and enjoyed a lovely romantic dinner date while down for a friends wedding.
The staff were simply the best and I was really impressed with both their knowledge but also just good banter... nothing worse than a no chuckle!!
The drinks arrived promptly which is always a good sign haha.
Entrees came out and wow... we knew we were in for a tickling of the tastebuds. The dishes were well cooked, perfect portion sizes and rich in flavor but not complicated.
The mains then showed up shortly after...timing was spot on. I had asked for a recommendation between the lamb and another item and was told the lamb... man I was not disappointed.
Normally when we’re out I get food envy... and feel like I made the wrong choice.... nothing this time... best choices and a great dinner all round.

Credit where credits due. Awesome place. Food was on point. Great selection of gin and extremely knowledgeable bar tender. All the staff were friendly and went out of their way to give you a great service. Look forward to dining with you next time I'm in town.
Fantastic food and Gin! Started at the bar with their amazing Gin and Specialty Tonics! The theatre around the bartender making these well thought out gins was amazing!

Do not miss this. The food here is a fusion of French, Mediterranean and Kiwi cuisines. Spectacular! The lamb tartare with a gel egg yolk was to die for. The lamb rump cooked in a sous vide then quickly grilled was truly a treat. The fish of the day with clams was excellent. Really nothing any of us had that was not perfect. Truly a delight for the senses. We will be heading back again soon to try other things on the menu.

The food is amazing. We got the $16 lunch deal and wine and we're very impressed. The chef here must be next level.
Small but wonderful menu. My only comment would be the prices seemed out of kilter with the product and not everything was available. No complaints about the mains but the starters and desserts pricing put me off ordering. Some money was left on the table on that basis. The only dessert that I wanted hasn't been available for over a week (sweet potatoe pie). Why is it on the menu? Overall a very good experience though. The gin menu is great! Hard to understand staff at times but they were attentive. Still recommend Nomad. Just needs a bit of tweaking.
Had a very tasty early dinner here with friends, could have eaten mine again..was in specials list too. Polenta chips best I have tasted in Australasia. Best drinks list I have seen. Great ambience and a sunny spot. Keep up the good work. Staff were wonderful too
What an amazing discovery this bar was. The polenta fries are a must though the menu has lots more to offer. We made a dent on the Gin menu! I have never seen such a vast option to try. Staff were lovely and friendly. We will definitely be back.
The food was really good, as was the service. We were a group of about 16 out on a business meal and the staff were excellent at managing all of the group's needs. I'd say the menu is a cut above, I had a sous vide lamb which was divine. Definitely somewhere to go again.
