I'm always really fussy when eating in cafe because I want fresh and tasty food, with an emphasis on health! We were all super impressed by the menu and the food tasted amazing. They had options for all ages and all tastes - which was excellent. Additionally gluten free was accommodated for easily. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend - especially for those who eat a Paleo or LCHF diet

Worth the drive down from Auckland. Ingredients are fresh and skillfully put together. We had the fish curry, lamb ribs and chunky fries. The fish was cooked perfectly in coconut, lime and Thai tones. Everything in the lamb ribs dish was amazing - textures, flavours, quality 100%! Coffee and lemon cheesecake completed the gastronomical experience. Cafe Melbourne was the highlight of visiting Thames

Food was flavorful and fresh. Everything was delicious. The vibe is cozy and cute with seating inside and out as well as in the hallway where there's some other cute shops

Great cafe with excellent food and coffee. Welcoming and efficient staff, interesting and well designed interior. A beautiful day so we were able to enjoy the sheltered courtyard. We'll certainly be back!

The brisket burger was one of the nicest things I've eaten all year. The presentation was pretty good trip. It's obvious that they really care about their food, and that is wholly reflected in the amazing taste they manage to achieve. Well done Cafe Melbourne!

Have eaten here many times and adore it. Have never had a bad meal and it just keeps getting better. Great dog friendly spaces, loads of space and a menu that is full of gluten free options. Staff are super friendly and the chefs are talented. Good is really interesting and full of variety. Total 😋

Very delicious food that is just a bit out of the ordinary, but not weird. Eg the pork belly was cooked perfectly and was full of flavour and served with a tasty apple coleslaw. The Green Grocers Garden Salad was definitely not an ordinary salad but instead served with a number of different pickles with some curried lentils, as well as other fresh vegetables. We really liked both these dishes ( plus good coffees). Staff were friendly and positive. There is a choice of dog- friendly pretty courtyard and inside tables. Very enjoyable lunch.

An exceptional spot. Food was absolutely amazing and the service was awesome. It was very busy when we came in but there was plenty of space still both indoor and outside. Fantastic coffee. Kids enjoyed the raspberry friand and chips, I had the chicken thigh - picture half way through my meal. One of the tastiest meals I've had in ages. Highly recommend

Fabulous cafe with delicious food. Book a space or fight for a seat especially if it’s raining or a Friday. Green Goddess salad in winter is super filling with robust flavours. The gnocchi was also really great.

Visiting Thames, we found this delightful venue by chance! And we are delighted to find the gem!! There are various different eating areas, some lending themselves to openness, some to intimacy. We had a small dog, who was made welcome (always an inducement for fur-baby fans!) Staff are very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We had arrived after the kitchen had closed, but a creative hostess ensured we enjoyed a delicious lunch from the display cabinets with a huge basket of 'French fries' each. The coffee was the best I have had for years, and my companion declared her hot chocolate was also the best she has enjoyed. The venue is interesting, it is nestled in amongst other shops, including a splendid plant shop. Yes, I'll be back!

Friendly staff, food was excellent. Had the chefs special crispy prawn tacos, so good. Iced chocolate was so good also. Would definitely recommend if you're in Thames.
