I currently have an addiction it is to the Chicken and Apricot pies they would be the BEST pies I have ever tasted and I have tasted a few....LOL. On Friday I tried the raw Chocolate & Peanut butter slice and all I can say is OMG delish!!!!

I recently visited Waitomo Homestead and had the pleasure of trying their pie, big breakfast and flat white. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The pie had a crispy crust and was filled with a flavorful filling. The big breakfast was cooked to perfection and had all the right ingredients. The flat white was smooth and creamy. The parking lot was spacious and there were plenty of spots available. I also found a shop nearby that sells cheap vegetables and fruits.

Super friendly and helpful staff making the experience for tourists an enjoyable time. A couple days into New Zealand (and many pies later) this place had the best pies for sure! The chicken and veggie was sooo good 🤤 Stop for a bite before or after going on a tour of the glow worm caves. Great spot for big groups.

Good chance for a break as you travel through the country. Good facilities, large compkex with a nice outdoor garden to let the kids run some energy off.

Waitomo Homestead is located in the heart of the Waitomo region, surrounded by rolling hills and lush countryside. The location is ideal for exploring the natural wonders of the area, including the famous Waitomo Caves. Overall, I highly recommend Waitomo Homestead to anyone.

Coming back home, we did a quick stopover in this place. What a great choice! The restaurant is huge, fresh food and plenty of seating. Seems like an ideal place for large groups. You can also book tickets for some local attractions, like Waitomo Cave and rafting. Just beside there is a veggie shop where you can buy ice cream. Parking is large. Toilets are clean and well maintained. Good to stretch your legs and relax.

Mothers day lunch was delicious! The Cafe was busy but we didn't feel cramped! Very Spacious! A full cabinet of pies and treats. I chose the sugar waffle off the menu. I was not disappointed! Will visit again. Gluten free steak sandwich was brilliant! Kids cheese burger was huge, and tasty!! Happy family members all round.

Relaxing and spacious resting place before and after your waitomo adventure! The place is huge, with many areas to spread out and relax. Highlight is definitely the $3 pies! Normal size, tasty and only $3! Big fan of that, especially after being cold and wet for the 3 hours beforehand!

It’s a nice restaurant where some of the souvenirs are cheaper as compare to the waitomo caves souvenirs shop. The pie is delicious @ 3 dollars only. While the main course is slightly more expensive @ average of 20 per pax. And there is a kid corner too, kiddo love it and doesn’t want to leave until we told her that she will need to stay in Waitomo 😄

Enjoyed a one night stay at The Homestead on a corporate group trip. Everything was great. We received a hearty welcome from the homestead team, buffet dinner in the main restaurant was excellent, lots of food and choice. The accommodation lodges are basic but comfy and the shared bathroom facilities clean and well maintained. We enjoyed a tasty breakfast the next morning before setting off to the caves and ad lunch when we came back. all in all well fed and cared for. thanks to the team.
