Visiting Auckland for a couple of weeks and have made several return visits to this welcoming coffee spot and eatery. Fab pizza last night over some relaxed drinks with free music from professional musician Jake who treated us to some top notch guitar playing & rock ballads and Owen, another beautiful singer guitar player and owner Justin joining in between looking after us. So nice to see people just rock up (excuse the pun) and find a language that crosses continents and generations with just a few guitars and friendly place in which to play them. A really lovely vibe. Just a fantastic way to spend a Sunday evening. Hope to do it again next week! Thank you Justin and friends for a wonderful extension to the weekend �

Came here for coffee. Had 0 expectation. Was surprised that it was Cheap and good. Also ordered the waffles and was pleasantly surprised. Will defo cone back to try the other menu items
Came in today for brunch with my friend. Walked down Parnell Road once and noticed the sign outside the cafe saying $10 all day breakfast and decided to come back one day. I got waffles with ice cream and fruit. Waffles were huge and French vanilla ice cream was super creamy. Hashbrown was crispy on the outside. Sausage was flavorful. Mushrooms were soft. Atmosphere was relaxing and staff were welcoming. Price was absolutely worth it!
Stopped in for the $10 breakfast and was not disappointed. Engaging staff and pleasant place to enjoy a meal outside under the shade of that magnificent tree. The food was well presented and is value for money if you're looking for a break from cooking your own breakfast on a lazy Saturday morning.

Second visit here. Neither visit disappointed. Have tried the $2.50 coffee in-house and takeaway, $10 cooked lunch special and cabinet food. All 10/10 and served by attentive, friendly staff.
You are right in the centre of Parnell amongst the other cafes selling just the same coffee for $5. Why would you not go here? You can sit in the garden patio and people watch in the lovely dappled light of the huge old tree at the front.

Good value. Friendly service. Nice setting. We had a Thai beef salad and mini breakfast for $10 each. Cool coffee arts. Would like to come back for dinner soon. The bathroom was a bit disappointing and can use some upkeep work.
Wow what a find, my friend Peter noticed the samwich board outside - coffee $2.50, so we tried it out on this beautiful Saturday 28 Jan 2017, they evan added a little brownie. Top service too.
Lovely cafe located right opposite to the chocolate boutique. This was the only place opened for Christmas and I am relly impressed with their service. They had a variety of snacks. I had the hot chocolate and since it was their "happy hours", the lady at the counter was extra happy to serve us. We had a Christmas offer of 2 hot chocolates for a total of $6 along with a complimentary piece of brownie each. I am happy i found a place for my evening drink, there were lots of families who were celebrating Christmas evening at Lala Cafe. You can choose to dine inside or outside where they have a tall furnace to keep you warm when it gets chilly. Happy to be the first to review.
First time tried and found it perfect place. This could have been more better if the order taker become more polite.
I have asked if she can send someone to clear the table but she responded “ we are very busy”. Coffee was great as requested. 👍👍.
We just walk from our hotel.it like exercise need to up hill down but weather is very nice.
I've been to La La a few times (including at their previous location) and have always been happy with my experience. Coffee - one of the best and consistently made, food - yummy and don't have to wait long for it (even if you ordered one of their meals), and customer service - top rate (cheerful, quick, attentive). Clean toilets too! Not sure why but the last time we were there, the music (there was a pianist playing) was a bit loud so we had to sit outside if we wanted to talk while having our coffee and scones. Other than that tiny hiccup, if you haven't been to La La, you should definitely give it a try.
Loved the prompt and efficient service by Paris. Her customer service skills are excellent. We ordered cappuccino,steak sandwich and spinach & cheese scones and I must say it was yummylliscious.

Lovely food, great service. Lovely, comfy chairs and great menu. So lucky we came here on a Sunday so we could hear the live music - piano and double bass are excellent to listen to.
Food and coffee was very good. Prices are also reasonable and affordable. Recommended to all.

Our favourite Parnell cafe and we've lived locally for past 12 years. Wonderful friendly service, great coffee, nice variety of food and Thai choices on the menu are a welcome change from the norm. One favourite is the mini breakfast, perfect for something quick and light. Child friendly, being able to order sourdough toast with selection of spreads is perfect. Sunday's they have wonderful live piano music.
Had an amazing brunch, lovely, friendly efficient staff and beautiful food. Thoroughly recommend.
