Very nice restaurant. We were there for a Saturday lunch and it was very busy. Luckily we had a reservation, but don't count on getting in easily on a weekend. The decorations around the restaurant are very nice
My partner and I visited Icon for lunch yesterday, as we had a voucher to use. We got there right on midday so it was quiet - the waitress was friendly and told us to sit wherever we wanted. It's kind of a plain restaurant, nothing that really gives it much of a 'wow' factor in terms of interior design, but is tidy and clean. We ordered the Prawn Twisters and Garlic Bread as a starter, which was quite nice. We both ordered the Eye Fillet as our main, which was beautiful and cooked just how we wanted. We liked the way you could pick two sides to go with your steak, instead of having to have the salad or the chips - they gave you the option to personalise your meal, which was a nice touch. Would recommend Icon if you're in the Lincoln Road area and are looking for a nice lunch or dinner, instead of fast food, as there aren't really many good restaurants around.
Had a great time here with my family - staff were friendly and food was good - we will be back.
My daughter-in-law had the fish and chips. She rated it twice as good (and half the price) for the same thing she had eaten at SAILS near the Harbour Bridge a few weeks earler.

Its a tough one with hotel restaurants because sometimes you don't have a choice but to eat there. You do in Henderson because this place is so close to a raft of other eateries, mostly fast foods.
Icon is connected to the Quality Hotel where I have been locked away a few times for work, but I have tended to just wander up the road looking for something to eat, so was a change to actually sit down at the restaurant to eat.
It is nice looking inside, not overly flash, but nice enough. The staff were really lovely throughout as well. The room is well lit and it was, at least on my visit, nice and quiet!
Instead of opting for a starter and main or just main, I ordered the scallops and pork belly starters as my meal for the evening. The scallops were beautifully cooked and absolutely loved them, the pork belly too was lovely but the side condiments didn't appeal to me much at all unfortunately. They looked okay on paper, but the flavours didnt gel well with me once I tried them.
Still, if I have to go back for work again, I think I will happily sit down at Icon again for a meal.
Have generally been pleased with this spot the several times we have been. The steaks are cooked as to our request. Service is good. Worth a visit for a family/bistro type dining experience with just a little bit of flare.
Great service, great food and value for money. Will be back. The lamb dish was particularly excellent, melt in the mouth and chocolate lava cake dessert was superb. Keep up the good work.
Sunday night, and didn't feel like cooking at all, so my family and I went to Icon Restaurant for dinner.
First thing I noticed, was the smiling and friendly faces of all the wait staff.
We were promptly seated, and drinks arrived in a great timely manner.
We ordered our meal, and OMG, it was amazing.
Priced well, cooked to perfection, and again, the waitstaff were just fantastic.
A great venue with great food and staff.
Thoroughly enjoyed my meal with girlfriend at Icon Restaurant. Never fail to deliver. Just not sure if they have a kids menu, cos would be best place to go to for nice catchup n quality food n clean place, nice ambience, polite n warm waitresses...
Went there Saturday night, good food, good service had a lovely dinner... will be going back for sure.
Six of us dined here on a Wednesday night ... we were all impressed with the service and the meals were divine. No loud music so we could all hear one another talking ... Certainly will be going back.
Went here for breakfast before my first aid course. There was barely anyone in the restaurant which was good, got French toast, presentation was average but it did taste good
Haven't been here in years was super impressed with everything. Love the layout & different themes for each seated area, such a great idea to uncorporate a Library never seen that in a restaurant before, it adds a lovely homely feel, my favourite would have to be the Whiskey Lounge, the decor makes you feel you've stepped back in time. Food was fantastic had the classic kiwi steak meal cooked to perfection & our host MJ, what a delightful, courteous human. She certainly knows that menu inside out, very precise, certainly don't get fabulous service like that anymore, thank you MJ. Had a very enjoyable & memorable evening, definitely recommend coming here.
