Love going here. It's a quant little place close by the sea with seriously delish food
Another gem not on the trendy strip of Tamaki Drive but who cares. The food and coffee is great and cheaper than most places in the area. Eggs Benedict and Fish n Chips delicious. Decor simple but don't judge a book by it's cover. A find.
Absolutely beautiful food! Had multiple things and everything was delicious! Good pricing too & friendly service! Will definitely be returning!
Just another humble place around Auckland to have brunch. I wasn’t quite impressed with their coffee but the food was surprisingly good. The service was fast and prompt. And the fact that it is situated right next to the beach adds a lot to its finesse.
very beautiful place along the beach! welcoming staff and quick service. I tried couple of brunch menues, out of which omlet dishes are really tasty and tummy filling! The price is bit high for some common dishes like fish n chips but overall serving and quality standards are high. Enjoy delicious food on the beach :)
Nice food, good location and friendly service. The waffles were light and tasty with plenty of maple syrup. Coffee is great too. Can be a little noisy on a busy day but otherwise very close to perfect!
been to this cafe last weekend with my friends.
perfect location for having breakfast or lunch while having a walk near the beach.
i had cajun chicken burger for lunch, nice chips, fresh salad and great burger.
I would definitely go again anytime i pass by.
Simply brilliant.
Great location for locals and others alike, great drinks and dishes which never fails to impress me. Been here few times with various people and never have I been disappointed once.
Perfect cafe to spend your time if you want to treat yourself to delicious food and great coffee.
Located very closely to the beach, Cypress cafe is definitely worth your time.
Cheerful staff who greets you in and out, Great coffee that makes your day and Perfect benedict breakfast... what more can you ask for?
whether if you are a local looking for a cafe to spend time or someone looking to treat your self, Cypress Cafe won't dissapoint you.
I went there with my friends as it looks more calm than other beach cafes. I had no high expectation from the cafe but probably it has one of the best food in the area. Workers are very smiley and energetic.
Food is very nice and not so expensive compare to the quality.

Good to visit casually with mates.
With my friend have been there and we had a really lovely brunch time there!
St. Heliers is the best place to enjoy your relax time in my opinion. I had a egg on toast and my friend had a waffle with ice cream. It was definitely worthy. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked!! It was the best ever I have had:)
My favorite coffee place in the World (no this is not an exaggeration). One of the reasons I look forward to coming back to New Zealand every time. The coffee is superb, the food is top notch and the service is amazing. I’m always sad when I go for my last coffee before I leave to go back to Europe (yes, this is better than Italian coffee). Tried buying their beans and recreating at home but it simply is not the same.
Very nicely located, off the main street of St Heliers.
Food was delicious, although they gave me a rather spicy sausage. . Should ask people in future - and give another option.
Quiet place with free WiFi too 🙂
Undoubtedly, the best coffee shop in St Heliers with a swag Korean flair that a distinguishing gentleman making the coffee and his elegant wife provide. I go there to observe the beauty of their movements, the honest smile and sincere welcoming that every coffee experience should promote; as a local, it is my refugee spot from the false pretentiousness that St Heliers and Kohimarama may be perceived for ─And the best of all: No real estate agents with mismatching Hallenstein 100 dollars suits and brown shoes and no socks using the coffee shop as surrogate office space to discuss money and properties that they don't personally have; instead, you find peaceful and gentle elderlies, well-dressed local families and good willing customers appreciating good coffee. ─There! I said it! ㋡
My go-to place in St. Heliers, especially on weekday morning. Great ambience, nice coffee (they have extra large size). Food cabine quite good. Love the jazzy and oldies music. Staffs would need to lower their voice when talking to each other though.
A nice small and cosy place near saint helliers beach... staff is kind and it’s prefect for breakfast and branch... I totally recommend it to pay a visit
One of the better cafes along the Tamaki Drive 'strip'.
It is popular with the locals and has it's fair share of tourists also.
Has seating for about 40 people inside and 3 tables outside.
Variety of cabinet food or you can order a mix of breakfast if not in a hurry.
Friendly staff and coffee was good (skinny latte). The minutes savouries are very tasty.
Fish and chips and a flat white. Realy good. Great café.
Our first visit and we were not disappointed. The food and drinks came out quickly, fresh, hot and all at the same time. The creamy mushrooms were the best I've tasted and the quantities of all of our meals was generous. The staff were friendly, we'll be back.
Great service and excellent food.
Popular cafe with good food nibbles. Convenient in St Heliers but getting a park is difficult.
