Tonight was a first time we'd been to the The Good Home Birkenhead and loved it. Great family atmosphere, as we walked in the staff got the 5 year something to colour in and free wifi for the teen. The food was awesome. Will recommend the char grilled rump, bacon & cheese burger and the the ribs which fell off the bone it was so soft. Kids meals are pretty decent size as well. Thank you ' The Good Home' for making our family dinner special. You'll see us soon �

The Good Home is damn average. Been here so many times and never had bad food or amazing food it's always consistently average. A good place for a family to eat at as it's not too pricey and has a good selection of food for kids. The staff are always very welcoming. x
The staff was very friendly, food came quickly, the portions were good and the environment had character. It had smoking areas and non smoking ones for outdoor sitting which was handy because I didn’t want to smell cigarettes during my lunch time.
The menu is new and has a good collection of different flavours.
I tried the vegetarian options: grilled veggies and my partner had the venison burger which came with the shoe string chips.
Prices a bit high but to be fair they use quality products. Overall a good experience
I do love a good Caesar Salad, so my standard here is high. I had it with chicken added and yes, went with the anchovies. I was certainly not disappointed and neither was my wife with her salad which included jalapenos (too hot for me). Great and attentive service!
Good Home has nice atmosphere, good to take family together. very good priced food especially with grab one voucher. Hope they can join zomato gold.

had my 18th here and they had such amazing food and service!!! kudos to them for making it all happen. i only recommend that they could maybe label the food on the platters only because some people wanted to know what was in it before eating. but even they loved it
On Friday night, I hosted my 21st birthday at The Good Home. I chose this venue, as I've had a great experience every time I've been there in the past. The staff are friendly, on-to-it and make sure you're comfortable and enjoying yourself. When organising my 21st, it was a super simple process. The beer battered fries and their cocktails are incredible.
Awesome vibes and got seen to straight away. I love the deco at this place its just amazing! Each little corner has its own vibe and it all comes together quite nice. Food was really good add a little bit more chips as there wasnt quite enough with the meal other than that brilliant. The cocktails were nice as well. Will be back again cheers!
Local friends took me here for dinner. The lamb shank is tender and falling off the bone, but the flavor is just plain, only savory taste and nothing else, which makes it less interesting after a few bits. The seafood and chips are okay, dried fish tasted better than the fried shrimps.
$20 schnitzel night, got the steak one... first time steak schnitzel. Highly recommend. Got the chimichurri sauce. Great pairing. Came with fries and salad which were okay.
The watermelon margarita special was sweet but good. Don't normally like sweet drinks.
Wonderfully accommodating with a large last minute dinner on Saturday night. Really delicious food and lovely cocktails. Loved the warm chocolate brownie
Good food and drink. Helpful staff. Bummed our booking hit changed last minute due to one visitor but luckily it all got sorted and was a good visit.
Have been two other times before this visit which were great.
We had our Daughters 21st Birthday. Management would answer any questions i had about the night. Staff were so amazing, always available when needed, food was on time, helped with the music, able to use the television for slide shows. Perfect for a small gathering of approximately 35 people. We were able to decorate the room nice and early, then it was closed to the public.
Great night and kept everything kept within budget. Highly recommend
The team at the Good Home hosted our studio Christmas party recently and the staff were awesome! They brought out awesome function food, catered for us to run a quiz via the TV, were super accomodating with drink subsidies and just overall made the process of having an event so easy! Thank you guys we appreciate all your help!!
We recently had my partners 50th birthday here. Duncan in particular gave such excellent service leading up to and on the occasion. Staff on the night were super friendly. Nothing was too much bother and everything was well taken care of. Highly recommend! Everyone loved the sharing platters.
Seafood Chowder is the bomb says hubby!!!!! It’s a must try !

They have a big portion of tasty food. Staffs are professional and nice as well. Place is cozy and clean.
Came here for a fundraiser pub quiz night and enjoyed the experience. They have a $20 rib night on Mondays and that was pretty good. I enjoyed the fact that it filled me up but didn't make me feel gross like so many other meals at pubs. The quiz was good, though it did run a bit long.
