Really big portion, good carbonara, and friendly staff.
It located just across the riccarton mall, the environment is really nice, and they have a different deal each day.
Staff are friendly, the ambiance is warm and accommodating, stone grill meat is great perfect for any occasion. Highly recommended. Their grab one deal is amazing.
Good food, good drinks, good times always had here. Like the British feel to it too, theme-y in a kitschy cool way. The burgers here are awesome too!
Heat spare ribs and wedges with great decor. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Payment was straight forward and bathroom clean. We're very welcoming to my disabled mother.
Steak was good, although did take a while to come out & could've done with more sauce. Happy hour drinks @$6.50. All in all would visit again.

High marks for food, low marks for environs. There's only one area a wheelchair user can sit in, either of two skinny tables in the bar section. It's pretty much right under the speakers blaring pop music that the staff claim not to be allowed to turn down (apparently "ambience" requires that I have to shout at my lunch companions). Had we not arranged to meet someone there, we'd have left over this.
Friend's lunch portion of fish and chips was cheap ($13) and went down well. Nice to get both white sauce and tomato sauce as standard. I had the Stonegrill sirloin, which along with its sides was fantastic. Asked to substitute the standard red wine jus for the blue cheese sauce they offer as an option on the steaks, and it was fantastic. Loved the mushrooms, too.
The ice cream selection sounded weird (something about white chocolate and raspberry and ginger) but tasted great. One of the better desserts I've had lately.
Menu differed slightly from the one on Zomato (no venison!), but the gist was the same.
An old favourite from our days as students in Christchurch. Last dined here any New Years Day and the restaurant part was surprisingly full. The food took awhile to come once we ordered but there were a couple of large tables who ordered before us. The food was good and the portions were generous, just as we remembered.
Very good food! My one complaint is that it's an example of those kinds of restaurants where you pay more for less. Fancier food for a steeper price. If you don't mind a bit more money for a nicer night out, this is the place for you
A good pub with great ribs. Can be quite busy and crowded but the live music is good.
I would recommend for more of a evening entertainment especially Saturday night.
A good fun pub
Went for lunch at Fox&Ferret with our 2 year old. Nice cosy atmosphere. The staff was really nice and friendly, he even made sure that the kid was comfortable and happy. The specials for the day was well explained. The orders were taken promptly. The lunch menu was great value for money and the chicken carbonara was really delicious. My husband had the stonegrill. This was his first stonegrill experience and the staff did explain the process well enough. The $25 stonegrill lunch deal is a great value for money as it comes with 2 sides(a wide variety to choose from). They also have a good selection of desserts.
Overall had a good time, nothing great but no complaints...!!!

Great spot. Was kinda busy for a weekday at lunchtime, but the service was great and the food came out fairly fast.
Nice place with great atmosphere for couple pints with mates and watching some games, the food is just average. The stone grill sounds fun, and it is fun experience wise, but can’t say it helps with the taste of the meats.
Great atmosphere, walked into such an awesome vibe. Meals were delicious. My Stonegrill mains was spot on 👌. Would definitely come back here ❤️
A brilliant place for a good pint and a better than average pub meal. I had the venison which was superb and a colleague had the rib eye which was apparently pretty awesome too! Attentive staff kept the glasses filled which was also appreciated and made for a great night!
I need to say. This place made our Rugby World Cup. I am not just saying it because SA winning, but they are really the real deal. The food was great and service even better. Thank you The Fox. Will definitely stop here again when we are in Christchurch. The Saffas from Auckland

The place was a bit busy so the food was a little slow to come out but the staff were great at letting us know of delays. The burgers are very generous servings and would highly recommend the pulled pork.
Excellent restaurant for a family meal. Customer service was great and there's a kids' menu. They were also able to accommodate for our dietary requirement (gluten and egg free) and the size of the meals were generous. Good value for money and they are also listed in the Entertainment Book.
As a party of 6 we arrived with out a booking 9/9 / 2023 after leaving another establishment being unhappy with the menu choice . We were warmly greeted and accommodated , drinks order came quickly then food order came super quick.
Burgers steak pasta and kids food were all great .
