Great vegan options, some of the lightest and most crispy spring rolls I've had. Lovely dumplings, but the Dan Dan noodles had no szechuan flavour or heat and were a bit anodyne
Ok so you know the food is great when you eat half and then remember to take a pic!
The noodles had the perfect balance of pork, veggies and of course noodles. Love! Love! Love!
Great food in a lively shared venue.
Really enjoyed the tonkotsu ramen, very flavourful and the toppings are great! Could do with an extra piece of chashu, maybe ask if it can be an add-on. Very friendly and helpful staff, food came out quite quickly.
The venue has market-style shared seating, and gets quite busy. Keep an eye out for open seats, may end up sharing a bigger table with another group.
I ordered a pan-fried sweet and sour chicken (picture attached)! — Fabulously presented and tasted divine; chicken almost melted in the mouth and was accompanied by delightful a sweet and sour sauce which wrapped the entire dish together. Major compliments to the entire team behind this restaurant 🥰!
Had the sweet and sour pork and pork belly bao, not the cheapest restaurant but I feel the quality really good, 1st time I've had bao so not much comparison can make but I really enjoyed and would like to try some of their other menu items in the future
Got the prawn, mushroom and pork dumplings, they were devine! The filling was juicy & flavourful and the texture of the dough makes this dumpling stand out from the rest. They also give a generous side serve of chilli oil which compliments the dumplings quite well.
We ordered the pork bao and stir fry rice noodle (prawns) and both were okay. The pork was delicious, however the bun itself was a bit too doughy for our liking.
My boyfriend is a huge fan of their Dan Dan Noodles and we have to go in and get one everytime we pass by Little High. This time the Dan Dan was amazing as usual. Be sure to ask for extra homemade chili oil if you are one who can take the heat (real Sichuan heat!). I ordered the dumpling tasting platter, and loved every single one of the flavors. But my favorite were coriander and chive pork dumplings. Keep up the great taste, Eight Grains!
Fantastic dumplings, could really taste the care and packed full of flavor. Great value for $ too. Dining in Little High at peak times is a bit nuts though!
Food is good considering that it is in New Zealand. The Xiao long Bao was not hot and stuck to the paper. The wantons and takoyaki were good.
