Had a lovely meal here. Very quiet, small restaurant but food was prompt and very tasty. Best panang I've had in a long time and my hubby said his Thai fried rice was fab too. Very generous portions.
Absolutely the BEST Thai my family/friends and myself have ever had. Beats every Thai restaurant in Chch. Such a little tucked away shop but huge in flavor! Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed. Also the girl who works taking orders is so sweet and polite.

This is the second time that my wife and I have had lunch at this tiny Thai restaurant. On both occasions the food was excellent and very generous. On both occasions, we were the only diners so it was very intimate, quiet and peaceful and this time, as we were entertaining a friend that made for easy conversation. The young woman who both cooked and served our food was most charming and obliging.
I have no hesitation in saying that the food was the best so far tasted at a Thai restaurant in Christchurch. The outside appearance of the restaurant does not do justice to the delights to be found inside!
We recommend that patrons park their cars in the
Northlands shopping mall car park as close to the Countdown supermarket as possible as parking outside the restaurant is limited to 15 minutes.

I have never really taken the time to write a review before but thought I would in this instance.
My partner and I order from this little takeaway on his birthday and it was the nicest Thai food that I have ever tasted. Totally recommend to all, you will not be disappointed.
This tiny Thai restaurant in Papanui may not be super flash to look at, tucked around the corner from Northlands Mall, but it serves delicious, authentic Thai food, and that has to be what counts. It is well worth a visit.
The food is amazing, incredibly fresh and tasty, with a good menu offering a range of Thai dishes for all tastes. It is also very good value, both had two courses and drinks for under $70.
I would say it was the best Thai meal I've had for some years! So good in fact I wrote this review, something I have never bothered to do for anywhere before.
As someone who has lived and worked in Thailand for a few years it is great to find a Thai restaurant that produces delicious food consistently. We regularly dine in but when we're in a rush, usually after swimming, we grab a take-out and the food is always ready within a few minutes.
There are a few Thai places around Christchurch, but in my honest opinion, Tasty Thai is the best. Try it for yourself, you won't be disappointed.
Really delicious affordable food, it's more set up as a takeaway but it does have dining tables. Staff were lovely and very friendly. Will be back.
A great Thai food takeaway, or you can sit down and have a meal. Although there aren't many tables for the restaurant they seem very popular as it was obvious they have some regular clients.

Fantastic Thai! We've ordered via Uber Eats and the food is hot, fresh, and full of flavour. If you order Thai hot, be aware it is spicy, but bursting with warming deliciousness!
Hot Drunken Noodles is perfect, Peanut Sauce on Noodles is perfect, everything is perfect, and great service.
Came here yesterday and ordered peanut sauce tofu and the green curry. Definitely 10/10 from us! The two dishes were perfect. They were full of flavour and the green curry was mild as asked for. The dishes came out quickly and most of all the owners are extremely lovely and pleasant to talk to.

Can’t fault Tasty Thai. Have never had a bad experience here - everything from the online ordering system, the friendly greeting upon pick up, to the delicious food - is absolutely phenomenal. Highly recommend the oyster sauce stir fry and pad see ew. Also welcome the option to choose ‘no sugar’ in dishes - I generally find thai dishes too sweet so love having this option.
Been to Thailand 4 times and stayed for about one month each visit. Tasty Thai offers very authentic Thai food. I have tried about 6 different dishes here and they are very close to what I had in Thailand. A little cute dining space and friendly staff!
The staff are super lovely. Highly rate their service. Their food is delicious. This is my go-to place for thai!
