This is a great place to stay easy to find. If you're traveling from further south then you don't have to drive to far into the city. Lovely character to the building the staff were friendly and helpful. The building has alot of history. My room was nice and clean.
I ate at the restaurant had the salmon. It was nice but they're the type of place that serves your meat on decorative beans and baby carrots. I'm a meat and 3 veg kind of gut.
But overall a really good place to stay and reasonably priced.
We had our wedding and reception at Wigram Hotel this year and couldn’t recommend it enough. Our experienced with the staff, especially Thomas and his team were so helpful with everything, and were always happy to email or call if we had any questions. The set up on the day and the team were amazing, everything went perfectly to how we wanted it. The food was delicious, all our guests loved everything and raved about the venue. We would definitely recommend Hotel Wigram to anyone looking for a beautiful wedding venue. The perfect place to get married, thank you. We've even stayed here overnight after the wedding and was well looked after.
I needed to stay close to Lady Wigram Retirement Village and my room was terrific. We had dinner tonight for 6 and it was the first night of a new menu. Food and service was great. We also were taken on a tour of the premises and what beautiful architecture. Highly recommend.
Absolutely wonderful stay at the Wigram Hotel. The rooms are gorgeous and warm and oh so clean. Meals were excellent. Very quiet location and a brisk walk to The Landing for a coffee was perfect. Booked again for our next stay. See you soon.
Great hotel! Excellent customer service, beautiful, clean rooms! If you need a great place to stay in Christschurch, this is it! Definitely dine at the restaurant! I would recommend the lamb and the garlic bread.
Beautiful hotel with lovely staff and stunning, spacious rooms. Stayed here for a work trip and it was perfect for what we needed. Generous, comfortable rooms, cafe on site and friendly staff. The building itself is beautiful; old charm decorated with a modern twist.

Great place for me to stay while on a work trip. It was close to where I needed to be and, wow, the rooms have been thoughtfully renovated with quality finishings....while still maintaining the historic character of the building. Really helpful staff, one suggestions would be for them to all wear black or have a uniform to up the game but it was a minor detail. Loved my stay and will be back. Sorry about all my stuff in the video!
Lovely rooms with modern interiors and a very comfy bed. The heated bathroom floor was a treat. My only negative was that the TV program selection was very limited.
Stayed 2 nights. Nice rooms. Very clean and tidy. Generous size. Bar was good and staff attentive. Whole place seemed a little understaffed. Breakfast , this was the one big let down. Don’t have it. Excleent use of a beautiful old building. Will stay again.
Was a lovely room, bit noisy at night, not sure what the knocking was.
Clean and tidy, the uppercshower head wasn't connected. The under floor heating was nice.
Breakfast was a bit of a worry, perculated coffee very stewed. Breakfast started at 6.30 we went down at 7 30, meats cheeses and yogurts in bowls were not chilled, but sitting on plates in the open, not covered, the bread for the toaster needed to be sliced by patrons, how many hands had touched this.
We chose to eat else where after this breakfast.
