First time in Sumner and tried Red Snapper for quick snack at night. We ordered Oyster (Pacific), Fish bites, and the Burger. We all loved it! We love to try their other menu soon.
Just the best fresh cooked fish and chips in town. Restaurant quality (better than most at half the price) Stopped in for the first Bluff Oysters of 2022. OMG absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Washed down with an ice cold bottle of French Champagne (we just happened to bring). Thank you Adam. As you said "Worth the wait" and met all expectations. Back soon <3 :-)
Absolute favourite fish and chip shop in Christchurch.Gurantee to grab lunch here everytime we go to Sumner beach or Taylor's mistake. The fish is delicious, chips are crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle and the hot dog is massive enough to feed two so great for sharing :) I would highly recommend unfortunately only downfall is they dont have family packs. Purchase are individual costs
Almost perfect fish and chips, the only thing stopping a 5 star review is they're pretty expensive even for sumner prices but I couldn't afford everything I wanted and the lovely staff did give me a discount so I could review everything I ordered initially. Definitely worth the drive out to sumner. You must try the deep fried camembert, it's essential if you go here
This is 100% the better of the two. Ignore the lower score as its wrong. Purchased the same order (f,c,hd,jr) the same evening. Chips crispy vs (literally) floppy, fish twice the thickness and hotdog a bit better tasting although nothing versus a red prebbleton hotdog. The other place definitely has good burgers but I haven't tried ones from here.

To die for is all I'll say!! Must try I was staying in Bishopdale and this would be the only place I'd go to for F&C.
It was a cold, wet day, and I felt like hot chips. Red Snapper did not disappoint. They were definitely hot and so crisp and crunchy.
Next time, I'll go when I've not already eaten as the batterred hotdogs they were prepping looked pretty good and to try some fish.
