This was our first time dinning at la ruby thai restaurant and I would definitely be making effort to return as soon as possible as it was very good food and the service was very good with regards to a fast and efficient service! The food was also an amazing and was one of the best Thai restaurant that we have visited in Christchurch! An overall excellent experience ๐ ๐
LA Ruby is the place if you want to experience the indigenous taste of Thai food. All the flavours were so authentic and true to its roots. Their Satay gai (chicken served with homemade peanut sauce) is simply delicious. I recommend the Kaeng lenge(yellow curry). The subtle flavours of the pineapple and the bamboo shoots all blended so beautifully..it was sophisticated and comforting an are lots more to enjoy.
The staff is amazing. They make sure to remind you every now and then that you are having a luxury dining experience. They anticipate what you want even before you ask.
The ambience is perfect for any time to chill around with friends or family .The seating is limited, so do make sure to book a table in advance.

Had the combination sweet sour dish, it was very edible, the wahine had the scallop satay which she loved but I thought was ave. Entre was pretty good the double is literally two of everything, don't let the price fool you. Has a mean lemon lime and bitters, the missus just had water, she told me that the water was so fresh and so clean like Outkast. The chairs were too narrow for my sweet wahines booty so a bench seat would have been better, the toilet had not been wiped or anything in what seems to be quite a while. Not happy because I got poo on my hands, NOT MY FAULT!!๐ก

Had an amazing experience! Food was delicious. Service was above expectations. Karan is a really friendly man and the chef too. I will be coming back for more.

Excellent curries. 4 of us all had completely different dishes and they were all amazing. The sauces were very thick and the food was fresh and tasty, cooked to perfection. It is also a lovely venue and great atmosphere. We will be back again!
Tried the chicken green curry for takeaway. Authentic flavors, perfectly cooked chicken, and well-balanced spiciness. Generous portion size and friendly staff. Highly recommended!
Been in La Ruby for dinner while in holiday in Christchurch NZ from United Kingdom ๐ฌ๐ง. Food is phenomenal and mouthwatering. We had seafood Tom kha, crumbed prawns s, prokspares ribs, chicken satay and Thai spring rolls .All the servers are very attentive. Great overall experience" -
