Awesome service, great yummy food. I am here on business and only found this place off google. I will be coming here again before my trip is over thats for sure!
We all totally enjoyed our meals (group of 9). Thank you! I had the braised beef soup main which was very tasty with beautiful tender beef in it. I also tried the duck curry which was amazing with just the right amount of spice.

It's probably high time I contributed a review on this place, as my partner and I have been eating there on a regular basis for several years. There may have been a change of ownership over that period, but the transition appears to have gone quite smoothly as we have been warmly welcomed by the same friendly and familiar faces each time. Over the years we have mostly noted consistency, both in the quality of the menu (in comparison with other Thai/Asian restaurants) and the level of time delays in receiving our meals. I will add, however, that last night's green curry was let down by slightly undercooked potato, usually presented perfectly. The negative comments posted here (below) are certainly relevant as we too have experienced delays in waiting for meals, though usually only, as we have found, at peak times and dates, such as Mothers' Day and Christmas, etc - when the restaurant is full of diners. I believe this problem would be expected at most restaurants as staff generally struggle to cope with increased diner numbers despite extra staff. I would certainly not recommend taking children along to THAI SILK on such seasonal occasions (due to the wait), nor would I suggest an expectation of a quick meal before a movie deadline. Pop along mid-week and you should be pleasantly surprised at the quick delivery of meals. Overall I still rate this eatery as one of the more pleasant dining experiences in Hawke's Bay, provided one is prepared to allow for seasonal difficulties in timely meal deliveries.
Delicious food with a wide selection on the menu - great service, minimum wait, nice atmosphere. This is a favourite - never been disappointed.
We also dined Mother's Day evening and yes they were extremely busy as you would expect on Mother's Day and if they weren't busy you would wonder why!!! The waitresses were very pleasant and were working very hard to attend all the tables. Yes there was a long wait for meals but as I said they were full. I would suggest a more fast food restaurant for families with children who need to eat fast on these type of special nights. Great restaurant, great staff and AMAZING food would recommend to all. Fortunately Thai Hutt was closed so we went across the road to Thai Silk. From the moment we walked in we were impressed, - beautiful decor, extremely clean and tidy and well presented staff. The wait staff were very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We had a fabulous meal, fresh ingredients and very tasty. We will return!
I have eaten at the Thai silk 20+ times and have never had a bad meal, sometimes service is a little slow but the food is always great. Would definitely recommend it!
My husband and I have eaten at Thai Silk many times. The food has always been good and nice and hot. Service has always been pleasant and fast (never have had to wait very long at all). Very enjoyable.
Only had takeaways from here, food is nice, took 15-20 minutes wait, decently priced. Only drawback is non microwave safe containers for leftovers
We go to thai silk takeaways alot, their curries are the best thai curries in hastings - we've tried many many other takeaway places. We have been into the restaurant 1ce last year and it was just as good - even more selections! We got our food very quickly and they were lovely. We were finished and on our way in just an hour!
We were visiting Hawkes Bay, and found that this place topped the Google Reviews for Thai restaurants. We didn't have a booking, and I'm hindsight were lucky to get a table. Was a solid stream of guests all evening.

We have a very nice lunch at this restaurant. I ordered spicy seafood. It is really spicy and taste good. The service is very fast.
Nice food and yummy taste. The salad sauce is perfect to go with beef and appetizing dishes are not oily. We have a great night there.
