Always a pleasure dining here, have been going for years. I’ve never tried any of the main meals, but have tried multiple Set Menus and always enjoyed them. Tried the Seafood Set Menu tonight, was boss AF! I think the price is reasonable and reflects the quality and service.
Very cool atmosphere! And the dinner entertainment is awsome. This place is awsome, really stands out in the hutt as a unique way to dine. Only thing i can fault is the price. Its a little expensive considering there is the possibility of leaving still hungry like i did. All in all though i would recommend if you have never been before to go and enjoy the experience.
Such a unique dining experience, and is most enjoyable when you are with a group of friends or family. The food is delicious, however portion sizes are a bit small. Overall, great experience.
Very different dining experience from most places.
Set meals and certain dishes are cooked right in front of you and some are interactive where you catch an egg or throw the chef something. Very unique and entertaining. As for the food, it all tastes good, cooked well and have good portions.
Prices are a bit high but you pay for the experience as well as the food.
Great overall experience and would definitely recommend.
First time at this kind of place. Totally worth getting a babysitter for 😉 the chef interacted well with the customers, made us laugh - it scripted for sure but still ran smoothly.

We brought the Groupon deal for our very first teppanyaki experience and we were happy with the choice. Our meat selection of squid, prawns, steak and chicken were all fresh, tasty and cooked perfectly. Possibly could have a tad larger portion of each of the meats or just make sure your not starving when you go. Otherwise enjoyed our dinner and would go again!

I love coming to this restaurant. The food is simply amazing, their takoyaki is my absolute favourite, the ingredients are always fresh and prepared to perfection. Excellent customer service, staffs are friendly, helpful and patient when it comes to big crowds. Highly recommend.
Really nice place !!! Great service and entertaining, awesome food. The Orange Roughy fish and flame steak is beautful, also the size of the prawn is very big. I love the entertainment their and it is a great please for a party.
I dine here more than most of my favourite restaurants. It is clean, fresh food. Made with love from very entertaining bunch of chefs. The owners have restaurants in the city and in Lower Hutt- next to United Video. I love that everything is consistent....quality, friendly, moderately priced. Their BYO policy is a bonus. I go here alone or with friends and always feel welcome.

These guys understand that it means to provide top experience and services at the reasonable and fair price. We have been back here more than 10 times over the last 8 years and I can truly say every time I look forward to the next time.
Bringing friends and family with is always fun because you get to witness the joy and fun that comes with the food here and there are also many photo opportunities with the fire and the throwing of the eggs and the rice bowls.
If you are in Wellington, this place is a must visit for the food.
Overall enjoyed the food, watching the chef cooking our selections fresh etc. Just a pity they served our entrees after our main meal.

The staff were very friendly and our chef was incredible!

It looks tame outside, but the inside decoration is so Japanese and atmosphere is welcoming and cozy. The BBQ is juicy and fresh, recommended the tempura even the tempura ice cream !! The fire show is fancy ! Good value of the money.

Soooo fun, when they get to try and catch an egg in a bowl (which i managed todo, i caught it in the small bowl), they also ask you if you would like to catch a small bowl of rice in a rice bowl in a bowl in which you hold in your hands (i couldn't do it, i couldn't catch the small bowl of rice in an empty rice bowl in which i held in my hands)
So much fun. Not just a meal but an experience. Cosy atmosphere. Great food great service
