Excellent food and service, lovely atmosphere and great prices as well. The chicken and waffles...yummy! The polenta chips are awesome and the trio dessert platter is perfect to share! My new go to for good food in the airport area
Went here for dinner on Friday night and was expecting just an average kind of pub meal but was pleasantly surprised. It was absolutely amazing the food. I got an eye fillet and the mash underneath was so smooth and the sauce (not sure what it was) complimented it well. The service was very efficient and friendly too š

Went to this place on a Saturday evening.
First impressions were that it was a odd place for a restaurant and the outside looks like it could use some TLC. Step inside and was kindly greeted and seated at our table in the restaurant area (they also have a pub/bar seated area). While we were here they had a rugby world cup game playing on the TV's, the only downside was it was really loud in the restaurant area and I couldn't have an conversation easily.
The food we ordered was kumara wedges/chips, garlic bread, the beef burger and nachos.
The wedges were amazing!!! They were soft inside and crunchy on the outside.
The garlic bread was so good including the side of dips.
The beef burger was good, the bacon being a star in the meal. My partner said the pattie could have had a bit more spice but otherwise very good.
The nachos was a bit of a let down. They came out below luke warm and had minimal beef throughout the meal. However the meal had heaps of guacamole and sour cream which was nice.
Would we return 100% yes!

Attended twice in one week! Would've been 3 times, but they closed early Sat night! Wonderful Customer Service as always, with lovely, friendly staff ensuring we felt very welcome and comfortable always! I think the lovely American or Canadian (sorry) hostess is fabulous! I need to grab her name next time! All hostesses here are lovely and truly, your customer service trainers deserve a big high 5!! You guys rock! Your customer service and quality of food are the reason why customers will return!
Weds night - amazingly delicious meal, everything served was full of flavour and perfect!! The dessert topped off our beautiful meal! Soooo delicious!!!

Sun night - came through for dinner with the family. A quiet night, but the food was just amazing! The $55 platter, my favourite the chicken nibbles and mussels, our kids loved the mac n cheese balls... Seafood pizza, this was amazingly full of flavour and Chef was not shy on the seafood, thank you so much! To tie everything up, our usual Nachos and chips, absolutely mouth watering!!

What a beautiful place and relaxing My flight got delayed and i found this place to have best place for glass of wine n beer. Very close to airport just 5 minutes uber.
Nice place for hanging out and having drinks after a long day at work. Staff are friendly and helpful. The place gives a cool vibe. Hope to come back and try meals as I only tried drinks.
Good place for drinks and bar snacks, often with life music and great food options, I really like the pizza and there salads they offerings.
Ordered two steak and chips meals for lunch with a friend. Food was nice and customer service was excellent. Would definitely go there again
Worth the drive out, the atmosphere is relaxing and the food is nice. I had the mac & cheese and eye fillet, both were on point. Prices are not too bad either.
I absolutely love the Post Office Public House. We arrived just in time to relish the stunning garden view before sunset. The catch of the day left nothing to be desired, but our steak, which we had ordered medium-rare, arrived slightly overcooked. However, the mushroom sauce that accompanied it was nothing short of exquisite, elevating the already delightful meal. The atmosphere was fantastic, the service efficient, and the overall experience was worth every penny!
Wanted steak for lunch and this place popped up on google, their steak meal did not dissapoint, nice place to relax and have a few beers, play pool or watch sports. Friendly staff and will be back to try more on the menu
I had an awesome experience for my early 21st birthday celebration. It is an excellent place for functions and enjoying good quality food in a timely manner. Hence my sirloin steak dish & chicken wings were delicious. The beverages were a bonus which nicely accompanied my meal. All staff, including their manager were upbeat, professional and friendly. I would deffinately go again.
We just had my daughters 21st Birthday at the restaurant and it was an amazing night. The manager was amazing and the staff were friendly, polite and prompt with their service. The food was presented so well and delicious.

I couldnāt have been more satisfied with the outcome of our experience at Post Office. Months of planning and saving went into arranging a surprise 30th birthday proposal dinner for my partner, along with our close friends and the attentive staff. The manager, in particular, was incredibly helpful, keeping us updated and ensuring everything went smoothly.
The proposal was a success, thanks in part to the delicious food and the exceptional communication of the staff. On the day of the birthday, amidst nerves for the proposal, they were incredibly uplifting. To top it off, they kindly packed the leftover food for us to take away, which was a thoughtful gesture that added to the specialness of the evening.
Sharing such a monumental moment with everyone made the night truly unforgettable. I wholeheartedly recommend Post Office for any events or birthdays.

I've used the Post Office Public House for two years in a row now to have a gathering of 20 - 30 people, and the Jannet and the team have been more than accommodating. Communication leading up to the event was fantastic even to the point Jannet personally created a sign for our gluten free and vegetarian attendees. Thanks to all the staff at POPH. Really appreciate the service.
Friendly staff. Excellent service. Tasty fresh food (catch of the day fish and arrabbiata pasta were excellent). Great cocktails even in a teapot if wish to share. Reasonably priced. Nice festive atmosphere despite corporate / airport / industrial park area. Door and outdoor options both nice. Pool table.
Staying in the area before an early morning flight and went to the Post Office Public House for dinner. Was pleasantly surprised by the quirky decor and quality of the meals in an airport perimeter location. 'Catch of the Day' fish was beautifully cooked and served with a lovely selection of veggies and green salad. Beefburger was tasty and accompanying shoestring fries were fresh and crispy. The young waitress was courteous and friendly, providing very efficient service for all food and drinks.

I found this place by mistake when driving by two days ago. I liked it so much. That I went yesterday, too. The outdoor fairy lights looked pretty, so I went in. I was pleasantly suprised when I walked in as the original details of the post office has been restored and/or upgraded while keeping the character of the building. The character details throughout are beautiful and definitely make a point of difference compared to any other establishment I've visited in NZ. Not only does this place just look different inside and out, the food and the service doesn't let it down. The menu offers original classics, and other modern fare. It feels like the owner and/or manager really got it right when selecting a menu as there's so many options for everyone. As it was 8, I only ordered fries and popcorn chicken. But I'll definitely come back to try other food. Now the best part - some of the best service I've ever experienced before, anywhere!!
All the aspects of the place are just getting nailed. And I look forward to coming back.
Great place for a nice pub dinner. Atmosphere was good with very attentive service and reasonable prices. Great alternative to eating at the hotel restaurant if you're staying at the jet park hotel down the road.
