We are regular customers at Kilim restaurant for many many years. Meat dishes or vegetarian meals are all flavoursome and tasty. My favourite is the vegetarian mezze platter. I can highly recommend this restaurant. You won’t be disappointed!!!!!

Kilim is amazing!! Everytime I come to Napier I try to dine in! I love the atmosphere, the staff are so lovely and accommodating with food allergies and the food, amazing!! So fresh and delicious. Highly recommended.
Great food, nice atmosphere.
It was great to have dinner in this restaurant. The owner is very friendly and helpful. He helps you select the right food on the menu.
Guvec is strongly recommended. Portions are pretty generous.
Tasty, authentic Turkish food coupled with friendly service.Just remember it's a cafe not a restaurant so the decor is probably not as nice as it could be, but we went there for the food and it was great!
I love Turkish food. Especially homemade falafel, hummus, Iskender Chicken and Lamb, tabbouleh and Turkish bread. Kilim is a family owned restaurant in Napier, and does Turkish food well - very authentic and tasty. And yes, their falafel comes highly recommend!
We dined here once (and also got takeaway on a separate occasion) and it was a lovely night. The staff were welcoming and friendly and our meals arrived promptly. They do BYO = double bonus, plus NO CORKAGE = triple bonus!!!
We loved their Iskender Meal with Chicken, which also comes with a generous amount of rice, hummus, beetroot dip, mixed salad, tabbouleh and Turkish bread, and also the Salad Bowl with Falafels with green salad leaves, hummus, beetroot dip, tabbouleh, sweet chilli and Turkish bread. Both meals were filling and delicious. Highly recommend Kilim!
We came to Kilim on new years day. Everything else was closed. Eventhough this wasn't our first choice, we really enjoyed our experience. The service was great. The man at the counter was friendly and patient as we enquired about the different items in the menu and ensured there were no allergens that may affect our kids. We had the mixed iskender, fried halloumi and eggplant tagine. The food was really tasty, and seemed healthy too.
Bitterly cold evening in Napier, needed some good warm food in a warm environment and we found it here.
Food was your typical Turkish selection with all of the favourites. We had a chicken salad and chicken shish both were great, perfect portion sizes, great flavour. Just a great plate of food.
My only "complaint" would be the young waitress who first helped us needs a lot more training in customer interaction. She seemed noticeably shy and a little uncertain. The other waitress was well experienced which was a saving.
Go give it a try you will love it.
This is one of the best places in Napier NZ to get a fresh Turkish Kebab at a reasonable price of only $11 (NZD) for a large.
The workers in this shop are always friendly and polite and make me want to go back every week ☺
This is a highly recommend place to go to 🇹🇷
Went there for a quick bite on a cold evening and ended up ordering Vegetarian Iskender. The location is good, walk from marine parade, most motels and shopping area. Its large enough for a cafe and small for a restaurant but appropriately decorated per the cuisine. The staff is nice and helped with choosing as I was not sure. The food was tasty, the dips were nice too. I had planned for dessert but the quantity of Iskender was enough to make me full. Later ordered for the Apple tea, citrusy-sweet & hot, nice drink to sip after a meal on a cold evening. Overall its good. Can recommend for a quick turkish meal.
This place is delicious I always have the Adana and it never fails. I have also had the mixed platter, it was delicious, the service is fantastic and quick. There is BYO too which is great.
I had the chicken saganaki, Very Very tasty!!!! :) Turkish was quite unknown territory for us but the waiter was very helpful in recommending dishes we would enjoy. Had trouble ordering drinks but overall good food at very good prices. I would totally go back
Last night of our holiday in Napier and we settled on Kilim Turkish Restaurant. It was recommended by a friend so it had to be good!!!! Anyhow, it was Saturday night so we called to make a reservation. No problem, table for two at 6.00pm. When we arrived there were only two other people in the place. Not a good sign we thought. When we arrived we were asked if we were intending to dine in or were we getting a takeaway. As I explained to the nice young lady (who seemed to have English as her second language) that as I had called to make a reservation I had a good intention to dine in their establishment that evening. Unfortunately I think my “wit” went over her head. Anyhow, we noticed a table for two in the corner with the “Reserve” sign on it. I suggested that maybe that was our table. The manager arrived. He said sorry that table if for one person (even though there were two places set out!!) Let logic not get in the way of some fine dining, so we settled on the table next to the reserved one that was also available. We were handed the A3 (or was it A4) laminated two sided menu to select our meals. I mistakenly asked for the wine list while we were deciding on what to have. I was told they don’t sell any alcohol, but there is no corkage if I had brought my own bottle. Unfortunately disappearing into unknown territories of Napier seeking a bottle of wine was not really an option. Instead we settled on the free glass of water on offer. Feeling grumpy, meals were ordered and I went for the mixed grill. The other half went for the chicken, salad and chips. What a surprise. The meal was stunningly tasty. Meats were cooked to perfection and combined with the salads, bread and sauces made for a great meal. So, what to make of Kilim. Simple, when making a booking they should say we don’t serve alcohol but brining your own is free! Hey, there were lots of tourists off a cruise ship who turned up after we sat down and the place started to fill up. They were as surprised as us. Overall experience was of really nice food but a Micky Mouse operation. The food alone though will entice us to go back again.
The chicken kebab was absolutely delicious! Credit to the chef as it was cooked just right! 🤤😋 Courtyard is definitely a gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone craving a delightful dining experience.🔥🔥🔥 The cozy atmosphere really added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. I will definitely visit again! 🫶🏻
Easily one of the best Balkan meals we’ve ever eaten. The vegetarian mezze and cevapi were outstanding. Topped with friendly, efficient service. Highly recommended.

I was really impressed by these delicious dishes and the quality of the service. The owner and his family are tremendously kind. New menu and fresh perspective. Highly recommend.
Highly recommend! Good authentic food, nice interior. All dishes tasted good, generous portions and acceptable prices. Kids liked this place as well. My teenager enjoyed the fish burger, which looked impressive. And the little one amazed me by eating everything till the end, as he is a picky one and will not eat what he doesn't like. Both of them finished with an ice cream. (Just look at this beautiful presentation)
I was lucky to find out about this place.💙🧿
Come HERE if you are sick of the same old low-effort Turkish places. These guys offer up incredible, authentic dishes and service with a smile.
Apologies for the most un-aesthetic picture I could take but I couldn’t wait to dig in. I went the spicy cevapi (I’m told is pronounced che-vapi!) and dreamy creamy halloumi bites (highly recommended). They even obliged me with some extra chillies which left me sweating…yum all round!!!
The food was delicious. We all enjoyed our meals and the desserts were worth the calories.
They are under staffed so service was a little slow but once we got our meals that was unimportant.
Will definitely go back.
It's very casual and relaxing.
Highly recommend!
Guvech was awesome
The lamb was so soft and tender and juicy, and the sauce was sooo great
All in all, it's the best Turkish cuisine I ever had in Napier 🥰
Had a fantastic rice plate with mixed meat, salad and falafel, and a mixed meat and salad wrap for my Lady…outstanding! Great taste, awesome staff and a very clean and well presented sitting area. Thanks very much to the team this afternoon, what a great place to unwind after a long day.
Food is just delicious! Well deserved 5 stars and unquestionable one of the best Turkish restaurants in the country. Simple, yet amazing choice of small dishes to share including many vegetarian options. Vegan on request! Our absolute favourite is vegetarian mezzo platter with nice choice of everything to try, but falafel kebab wrap is a solid choice if you are really hungry. Place doesn’t serve alcohol which is actually a nice one , just only BYO with $5 corkage fee. Service is bit overwhelmed by the number of people and slow, they happened to forgot one of our orders, but still food compensated overall experience.
You can order your food at the counter, or take a seat and order online using table QR codes. Alcohol is served. The seating is comfortable for a short stay. There is outside seating. Staff are helpful and friendly. The meals were a good size, fresh and well presented. The pita bread was delicious.
