Nice airy pub with good Guinness which is a great start. There's a range of DB beers (labelled Mac's but the real Mac's is back in Nelson) too. Decent offerings of food, poutine, burgers and fish and chips and on a Wednesday night quick service. Interesting tables with different length legs to match the floor steps.

What a great pub/eatery they have established here. It some how has that old school pub feel, with a great restaurant/ eatery to boot. The food is excellent, well priced and fresh! The staff are fantastic, helpful and chatty. Loved our visit here and will absolutely be back.

Without a doubt the best service we had on our trip through Newzeeland. Our bartender/waiter Blake did a fantastic job. Great food. Good beer. We stayed here twice during our two nights in Nelson.

Besides the amazing drinks and atmosphere, these guys offer excellent customer service. I wanted a beer and the amazing bartender custom made a brandy-hot lemon tea for my partner who had a sore throat. (It wasn't even on the menu!) They were also so courteous throughout the evening.

Very good understanding of gluten free and coeliac. Staff were friendly but unfortunately the food wasn't that great. Had a salad but the broccoli was very dry and oily. We also got some pork belly bites on the side. They were not much better, very dry and a little too burnt on the outside for my liking. Would definitely come by again for a drink but would skip the food.

Really enjoyed our dinner. I had the mac n cheese and it was on point! My hubby had the half chicken and he loved it. Nice atmosphere.

Truffle Mac and Cheese isn’t much to look at but it tastes delicious. The perfect mix of white sauce, cheese and truffle flavoring in my opinion but the truffle flavor is strong so beware if you aren’t used to that. Doe balls that came with it were very garlicky but I love that too. Ribs are a huge portion and the jerk sauce has a nice kick but fries are perhaps too salty, good for my gut as I didn’t eat them all. 😂 service was top notch, very friendly and attentive.

Howard Williams hosted a quiz for us at the Jellyfish as part of our conference. Howard was easy to deal with and he did a fantastic job of facilitating the quiz. Our team really enjoyed it and I would highly recommend Howard’s services to anyone needing a Quizmaster.
