Unassuming place, dated deco and there's only 1 staff to serve. BUT! The food is great! Chinese food and meat cooked really well!
Asia is awesome! It's a blast from the past and a great one. Long standing Palmy restaurant I first patronized back in the 1970's, Nothing much as changed which is a very good thing. This wonderful little diner takes you back to a simpler time which I find very comforting and refreshing. Super welcoming with a laid back and friendly atmosphere. The food is outstanding, authentic and generous. Highly recommend.

Fantastic food, huge range, low prices, friendly staff, just unfortunately decor is dated, but that is half the charm of a cash only, no EFTPOS circa 1970 NZ dining experience. A classic.

Not only cheapest Chinese takeaway in town but authentic & nice. Sonny & Kim ( with Sonny's sister Sue helping out) has been running this place for 43+ years. Cash only & I suppose that's why they can keep their prices down.
I haven't been there for years & decided to go there. The inside of the restaurant hasn't changed. Same set up, same furniture & you still get some bread & butter when you dine in. And they have an A food certificate!
This is always our go to for a delicious and inexpensive meal. Kim and Suni are awesome people.
One of Palmy's best kept secrets! It is essential to bring cash though -- there are no EFTPOS facilities available.
Wonton soup entree for $6.80 is exceptionally good value.
Great steaks! Probably the cheapest in Palmy and don't forget the yummiest Fried Banana with Ice Cream!

Asia Restaurant is our favourite place to eat. We have been going there for years. Nothing changes. The food is great and there is always plenty of it. It comes out quick and both the Chinese and other meals taste terrific. Kim is the host and is awesome. She knows everyone.
