The service was amazing. Our French waiter made the evening and the tasting menu was fabulous which included a great venison main and delicious cheese cake dessert. It also included smoked salmon course and the cheese churro which was also delicious.
We loved the food, we loved the ambience but most of all, we loved the staff!!! Our daughter was sleeping and they asked us if we wanted to put her in one of the empty sofas beside us. What other restaurant would do that? We were able to enjoy our meal with both hands! (Only parents would understand this haha). Thank you, The Grille staff! You made our night!
The food is amazing. Highly recommend the angus steak, oysters and the duck breast. Definitely will come again. The service is also sweet~~~
We dropped in for the 2 courses for $30 lunch special and we were not disappointed . I had the seafood chowder ( not the best I have ever had , a bit watery, I prefer the heavier / grainier type of chowder ) but the seafood content was ample and although a small serve was very satisfying
For main I had the BBQ rib with buttery mash and it was delish.
My partner had the salmon and the petit fours both of which were very nice

Breakfast was outstanding, had the salmon eggs Benedict, huge portion, fresh and tasty. Highly recommend for breakfast, service was great and super friendly.......and the view!
The Grille is a classy new restaurant overlooking Lake Wakatipu. We expected to spend a lot coming here but the prices were surprisingly average. It's warm and cozy ambiance is complemented by the dim lighting. Staff were very professional and lovely. The glass is always tailored to the drinks which I definitely appreciate! Never thought I'd write this in a review.. but the steak knives were awesome! Serious case of knife envy over here. The food was delicious. The meat was so tender - cooked to perfection. I'm definitely keen to pop back here and would highly recommend this to anyone staying in Queenstown!

First things first. This place is amazing. From the spectacular position of the restaurant overlooking arguably one of the best sunsets New Zealand has to offer, to the personal touches from the friendly and attentive staff, this place, I could not fault.
We frequent New Zealand and in particular Queenstown having only been less than a year earlier to look for wedding venues for our big day. We looked around to no real avail and almost gave up on our wedding being there until earlier this week. We thought we'd go for a quick visit and we stumbled accross what was last seen as a construction site was now Queenstowns best restaurant. (IMO)
The signature dish is the seafood chowder which we shared as an entrée along with some breads. I could've had it over and over. So good! I had the 350g eye on the bone done Med. Rare, pino noir jus, green beans and mash. It literally melted in my mouth.
We had a few drinks together before retiring with a full belly and a new venue for our wedding.
This place was only recently opened in November of 2016 and in my opinion clearly setting the bar for other restaurants to step up to. A massive thanks goes to the restaurant manager Kenny. His enthusiasm and willingness to help wherever he could was a huge part in making our decision. 10/10
Wow, what an amazing restaurant! The food was of exceptionally high quality, and the service was outstandingly friendly and helpful. Our waiter went above and beyond to assist us in choosing dishes and even took a beautiful sunset photo of us outside the restaurant. The meal itself was simply superb; we had the steak and ordered a dessert of cake and crème brûlée.

Food was fantastic, the Duck with Crispy potatoes as a side. Beef Bourguignon pasta was pretty good and recharged us for the day.
Very very yummmy!! My husband and I were extremely impressed with the lake front view, the delicious meal, dessert and wine. Will go back!
The staff here are amazing. During our trip to Queenstown, Eichardt's became the definition of Kiwi hospitality and friendliness to us. Located by the lake with stunning views, the chowder was a standout for us! Their wine selection is also fantastic and carefully highlights some NZ winners, sad I couldn't try them all.
Absolutely outstanding service!! Our waiter was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful when it came to choosing wine and main meals, we had steak, broccolini and potatoes which were all cooked to perfection! And came out in good time. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would 100% recommend! Definitely worth the money!
Beautiful location, right on the waterfront in Queenstown. The staff that served me were informative, friendly and continuously kept me updated on when the food might be a bit longer, given it was a busy service. Recommend the scotch fillet with the pepper sauce - yum!
Went to Eichardt’s for dinner. Dispute the mixed reviews we went in with open minds.
Honestly the meal was absolutely delicious. For starters we got the blue cod wings, which was coated in a Cajun style mix it was crispy and perfectly cooked. Nice and meaty sized wings.
For mains, my girlfriend got the whole flounder with beurre blanc sauce. Perfectly cooked, huge portion and the sauce was well balanced.
I got a 300g savannah sirloin, with peppercorn sauce. Steak was cooked exactly how I wanted (medium-rare). Steak was tender and beefy in flavour.
Service was amazing and our waiter made wine pairing recommendations that worked perfectly with our food.
