I really enjoyed the steak and pepper pie I had for lunch here when passing through the area. I loved the fact of its total freshness and attractive presentation. If I weren't watching my weight I probably would have indulged further in one of the very tasty looking sweet things but as I didn't I can only say the whole presentation of the counter foods was great and the staff clearly liked working there - very friendly and good customer focus. I don't know why it is but so many staff in eating places these days don't seem to consider their manner towards customers is important enough to always be always wearing their best smile and just be generally nice. Heads up for Food For Thought staff!
The food is excellent and the coffee is really nice.
We tried the ice coffee and so far this is the best ice coffee we've tried.
The Pie is really award winning Pie.. we tried different kinds, our favourite is Chicken Pie and Seafood Pie. The sauce is so creamy and indulging.
Definitely a place worth to visit and try!

We recently visited the cafe "Food for Thought" in Thames, New Zealand and overall, we were satisfied with our experience. The cafe was clean and tidy, which is always important to us when dining out.
The selection of cafe pies and cakes was standard, but there was a good variety to choose from. Everything we ordered was fresh and tasted great.
One of the standout aspects of our visit was the friendly staff. Everyone we encountered was helpful and pleasant, which made for a pleasant atmosphere. They were happy to answer any questions that we had and were always willing to go above and beyond to help us out.
Overall, our experience at "Food for Thought" was enjoyable. The clean and tidy cafe, standard selection of food, and friendly staff all contributed to a positive dining experience. We would definitely visit this cafe again in the future.
We had a beautiful breakfast here( I had the veggie eggs Benedict with avocado and mushrooms). It was absolutely delicious, it was beautiful presented!! Also the staff is super friendly! Definitely recommend it for good quality and yummy food!
Lovely food and mocha and like a few Cafe's here in Thames you can sit in or out in a courtyard ...... They were very busy but it didn't take long for our order to arrive
