We recently held a private function in the upstairs dining room at Ortega. The food and service were both excellent. The wait staff were good at communicating and very responsive during the meal. Ortega has an extensive wine selection, which they are very knowledgeable about. Arranging the function was incredibly easy and the room catered for our party of 30 comfortably. All of our guests had a great time and enjoyed the meal. I highly recommend Ortega.

Absolutely love the food here & I couldn't recommend this place enough. The meals are on point, the duck fat potatoes a must as are their crepes for dessert � And the service this evening was amazing!

It isn’t any wonder this little restaurant is in the top five seafood restaurants in Wellington New Zealand. From the moment you walk through the front door your tastebuds are dancing with excitement to the beat of the delicious aroma. The food is flavoursome and pleasantly presented. We enjoyed succulent oysters, a tasty crayfish risotto and well cooked gurnard. Sipped on a smooth and cool Konrad Riesling and Book binders beer before finishing with a chocolate & beetroot mousse that tantalised the tastebuds together with the fejeoa grappa! Amazing food and hospitable friendly staff. We will certainly be back ��
