Outstanding quality food. The service was friendly and the staff had a detailed knowledge of the wines and food. Super impressed with the wine options. Had the best grilled octopus which was recommended by the waitress.

Fantastic food! We really enjoyed every dish! The red snapper with bacon broth! 🤤 and I’ve no idea how they get that octopus so tender. If you’re in Wellington it’s a must. Also try the house savvy wine it’s delicious!!

Long overdue review of Ortega. This is based on when we visited in January. We are creatures of habit so we came here 2 nights in a row after a fantastic meal of seafood consisting of oyster, ceviche, mussel - definitely try the teeny weeny French toast fish sandwich - and great wine selection. Place was popular with locals since it was packed on both days. Great vibe too. Shoutout to the owner Davey and bartender Frederico for making us feel at home and for introducing us to some special wines!
