We were lucky enough to get tickets for Logan Brown's Spice Temple. AMAZING meal and fabulous night. We shared a table with two couples and had a great night. Crab curry, shoulder of lamb delivered to the table whole on a platter, rose water doughnuts - and even Sula viognier, Shiraz and Chenin Blanc from India. Thanks for the very memorable night team!
Omg!!!! We went to this restaurant on sat night, had the most amazing degustation 7 course meal!!
It was delicious, we were upstairs in the intimate part of the restaurant, was a bit concerned about coming dwn the spiral staircase after 7 courses of food and also 7 glasses of wine, but we did make it surprisingly lol,the waiter was a delightful young lad, student, who also was very professional! Highly recommend this experience as never experienced it before!
Beautiful Christmas lunch, five courses with wine matching.
Excellent service, friendly staff and really tasty food. Well worth the visit. Love the intimate dining experience.
Christmas lunch. 4 people. The service was very good. The waiters were very attentive. A 5 course lunch, which included dessert. We mixed different wines with each course. Each course was explained to us. The wines with each course were an optional extra. Three people felt the duck was underdone. 1 person sent theirs back for more cooking. 2 other people didn’t eat theirs. The food was nicely arranged on the large oversized plates. Dessert was a very tasty panna cotta, with berries and morsels. There was no rush to leave this restaurant, which was much appreciated. The cost of our lunch was quite reasonable. We have Christmas lunch at a different restaurant each year. The food at this restaurant is amongst the better restaurants where we have eaten, however the thought in the way of Christmas trimmings such as decorations etc, was non existent. A great to experience, but not for Christmas lunch.
Excellent service, really polite and attentive without being pushy. Food was presented really well. Personally not mind blowing food but it was really nice. Would recommend for any occasion especially dates if you're looking for something fancy in Wellington.
went here a few months ago and forgot to write a review 😅 the service was impeccable, the cocktails amazing but unfortunately the food wasn’t fantastic. it was pretty good, but not the highlight. out sides of mushrooms and potato were delicious, but my main of pork and rabbit pate wasn’t that great - was hoping for some flavour of rabbit but didn’t really get it. still a great night out (:
I appreciated their service and how they accommodated us. We all enjoyed a great evening. Great atmosphere with some nice furnitures.
As always, the meal was a treat - set lunch menu. We tried both the lamb rump and the fish options and both were exquisite. The service was fabulous and the staff were very attentive, informative and they really took the time out to have fun and chat with us, which we really enjoyed and appreciated. As has happened before, Steve Logan was out and about, shaking hands and chatting with patrons. Honestly, that is SUCH a nice touch - don't recall this kind of privelege at any other restaurant...
Enjoyed a set menu before WOW which was very well priced at $45 a head. Had Spinach and ricotta ravioli with beetroot which was superb. Confit duck with noodles and consomme was disappointingly bland. Pannacotta to finish was beautiful except for the white chocolate 'snow' which got a bit gluggy in your mouth. Service was ok although felt a bit like the poor relations stuffed in a corner. I feel this restaurant was a bit pretentious and not sure I'd return.
Oh my! Friday night pre-show bistro menu @$45 each. Decor lovely. Atmosphere friendly. Staff lovely. As for the food, it was divine. Perfect for a special evening out.
An amazing place with the most humble staff members.. we had the 5 course meal and me being vegetarian, the chef recommended different dishes for all the 5 courses.. n it was a superb experience.. thoroughly enjoyed every meal.. thank you for making my birthday more special.. would love to go back soon..
I had a rare night out with my wife. We ended up at LB on a Friday night, without a booking. The wait staff were very accommodating. We got shown to the bar and were told it'd be a 20 min wait for a table. The bartender attended to us and 20mins later were shown to our table, with an apology for having to wait. So far, service was excellent.
Our waiter explained the menu thoroughly. He recommended the 5 course chefs tasting menu. We went with the recommendation and didn't regret it. Snapper ceviche, paua ravioli, lamb, venison and dessert. Each course explained as it arrived. The food was cooked well and tastes delicious.
So, I wanted to write this review closer to another public holiday, because for sure people will start looking at reviews. If you're in Wellington for Queen's birthday and want to go somewhere special GO TO LOGAN BROWN.
From the decor, to the menu, to the service, our experience was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.
Even though the place was busy, the servers were all friendly and helpful, and one even offered to take a photo of my friend and I, which I really appreciated.
The food was also amazing! Their 3 course menu had amazing options and the portions were big enough to be filling and very much worth the price. They were accommodating, professional and so very hospitable. I would definitely go there again.
Many thanks to Ajay, who provided us such amazing hospitality that my friend and I couldn't stop talking about our meal at Logan Brown for days on end. You've elevated our experience and made it truly special.
Thanks for the fantastic evening! The service provided by David K was outstanding, he was absolutely lovely and even told us about the history of the building. Everyone was really lovely.
The food was delicious, we both really enjoyed out mains and even the side of brocollini was mouth-watering. Dessert was perfect too. The time between dishes was great as we waited for dessert we were more and more ready.
Look forward to dining here again in future!
This was an incredible dinner, both in the sense of food and service. They made one small mistake and went completely out of their way to fix it in the kindest way possible. The location is beautiful and there is a nice ambiance. The tasting menu is very well-priced, especially considering that you get very good-sized portions - we both left feeling very full. I can really see why this is an award-winning restaurant!
(I have just one photo of the dessert, but all of the food was great)
This was my first time experiencing Logan Brown and wow what an experience it was. The food was delicious, the service impeccable and the building itself stunning. Only downside was that the cocktail list was not very exciting. The food however more than made up for that.
The $75 three course menu was excellent value for money for gourmet-Master-Chef-quality food. I had the red onion tart, then pork belly main and espresso mousse dessert with broccolini and garlic mushroom sides. We also got 2 pieces of freshly made bread and their 2 options of amazing, creamy, flavoured butter. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious.
The staff were really friendly, professional, neatly dressed and knowledgeable about the food, and the restaurant was bustling with lots of customers. Highly recommended. I'd definitely go back again. 😀👍
We had a brilliant evening here. All of our food was great, we particularly loved the tandoori spiced cauliflower and the panna cotta, they were amazing!

Went for a Valentine's Day dinner, the food was absolutely amazing, just WOW!!!
The service was great too, nice and attentive people.
Will definitely go back and recommend it 1000 times 😊
Very good and affordable 3 course meal with exceptional service throughout from senior to more junior staff. Great experience at the dining table. Had the gnocchi for the mains which was very good.
We dined at Logan Brown for my husband's birthday. It was the right choice for us because he wanted something intimate and cozy.
Logan Brown changes their menu every 3 weeks or so. It was the first day of their new menu. We ordered from their Logan Brown Bistro Menu @85.00 each with one wine match for $55.00 and I got myself a refreshing lychee mocktail.
To start we had the homemade sourdough and raisin bread with salted honey and garlic butter.
Entrée, we had a vegetarian dish and rabbit meat. Rabbit meat was paired with a red wine from Italy.
Mains, I had their potato and gnocchi - which for my taste pallet was a bit salty, but they did offer to give me something else, which I didn't take cuz you know it was about my husband that night and not me haha. On the other hand, my husband really enjoyed his snapper which was paired with a Chardonnay from NZ. Had some broccolini on sides too to go with our mains.
We finished with some desserts, I had the espresso mouse and my husband got dessert with happy birthday written on it and served with a glass of Resiling from Marlborough.
Our total with tips was $260. Our server was Ajay he was very sweet and accommodating to my dietary needs. The service was smooth and timely. My husband really enjoyed, so I am happy too.
Thanks :)
Best start with the paua ravioli. 💯 Recommend for $12, make sure you keep some of the bread to mop up the sauce afterwards.
Our service was slow from the kitchen which we think really impacted the food. Stracciatella was a little bland, the pear and radish accompanying it didn't add much. Duck and hapuka was slightly over but still had crispy skins. Hierloom carrots were over done, prefer them al dente, but maybe that's personal preference. Espresso and cardamon mousse was so over powered with cardamom it tasted like soy sauce, couldn't taste any coffee it in. Would go for the parfait or cheeses over that.
