A lovely place with a view to enjoy dinner. The dining room over looks Wellington city and has a really nice atmosphere. Despite being sat next to the kitchen the expansive windows still allowed us to enjoy the sunset whilst having dinner. Service was great, waiter was polite and efficient. Drinks came out quickly too. We were really impressed by the menus and had a hard time deciding on mains. We ordered the steak and the beef cheek. I'd say the food was pretty good, but not outstanding. The jus that came with both of our meals had a very subtle flavour and made the dish feel unbalanced. If the sauce was improved the dish would have been much better. For dessert we had the carrot cake and chocolate Mousse. I'd say again the the sauce/ cream etc they used was really bland and if that had been improved the dish would have been awesome, it was just a bit lack luster. Would go back for the view and atmosphere, could be great for an afternoon drink + snack.
We had a last table for 2 booked at 7:30pm on a Friday night. I love the restaurant setting and view (you have a nice view of the city at night from high up through the clear glass door, perfect place for picture lovers!). The food and service are amazing. I love the food presentation.
Such a shame that they sold out Venison just right after we finished ordering.
We started our meal with Buffalo Mozarella and Black Angus Beef. For the main, we got Beef Cheek and Lamb Rump. We finished the night with Chocolate Mousse and Raspberry Brioche.
Overall, highly recommended.
Enjoyed a very pleasant meal here. The dishes were all immaculately presented and the serving sizes generous. In particular the ice cream was enough for two of us. The disappointments were 1. They had run out of duck confit which seemed strange given the size of the restaurant and how duck legs can be stocked up in the fridge and 2. The lamb rump was overcooked and so dry compared with the photos posted online.

We want for meal through first table. Atmosphere was great, many other places put first tables customers in a corner - Forage Kitchen gave J's a window seat with a great view. Constructive rather than critical - Food was good, not amazing, wouldn't pay full price for it. I'd have said 3.5 for food and drink. My cocktail (Mojito) was quite bitter, not sure how long the staff have been making them.
Service, staff were really nice but our first waitress hadn't tried any food (and hadn't asked others what was popular) and we were left sitting and waiting for some time. I wonder if they were fairly new and weren't as observant as they thought they might have been, the effort was there - if say more of a knowledge gap. Also noticed it had said online that they offer GF options but that was very unclear on the menu.
Front desk, the girl was lovely. Stored my bags and helped us sort parking which made it so much easier!
Overall the furtniture, set up and the atmosphere was really, really nice. From the cacso tea and brownies at the front door through to the fire and lavish seating before heading into the restaurant. I hope the rooms are as nice!

Lovely service and lovely dinner , we went to celebrate our bday and couldn’t ask for more , the service was outstanding.
Great place👌. Happy hour between 5-7pm. Breakfast was excellent, with a great selection of food. You can watch the sunrise in the morning. Supper time, great meat selection, but only one dish of fish and tofu for vegetarians. No chicken served. No vegan options. Was never offered desert, which seemed not to be on the menu. However the food was excellent
Had dinner here twice, first the fillet and second the lamb. Both were as awesome as the views. Friendly service too.
Great gluten free options! And an extensive wine menu.
My wife and I came here as part of our anniversary weekend staycation in Welly and loved the food, the service, and the views.
We would recommend to all, especially if you have an entertainment book.

Great restaraunt. We ate dinner here one night we stayed at the hotel. The food was delicious and the view was amazing. great view over the city. especially loved the cocktails and dessert menu
