Great food, healthy options, nice decor and definitely recommend
Busy cafe in the heart of Te Aro and it's easy to see why. Staff were quick to seat us, despite the interior being at near capacity. The menu offers many delectable, yet healthy options. I was a bit reluctant to order a salad, fearing it may not be filling without some extras, but had nothing to worry about. It was more than enough to satisfy. My pal also enjoyed her salmon dish.
I come here often enough that I don’t think to comment. I should. It is good... although it can be intensely busy and so you need to be phlegmatic on occasions. It is a favoured place for breakfast. Last week, an evening meal with friends returning to the UK. Amongst the pleasures for those at the table were a squid starter that managed a soft bite and great counterpoint salad,, grilled asparagus and borlotti beans, walnut, apple and chickpea pancakes, slow cooked lamb, unnecessary but excellent deserts. We messed the staff around by being late and stayed longer than we should. There wasn’t a moment’s impatience from the staff, whatever their private frustrations. Our Liverpudlian waiter was thoughtful and friendly and humorously underlined the adage that you can take the man out of the place but not the place out of the man.
Always lovely with great food. Can get very busy so would recommend booking. The eggs are always done beautifully and is a lovely place to go for breakfast.
HAVEN’T BEEN DISAPPOINTED by any Italian restaurants in Welly so far. The dinner tonight was definitely beyond what I had been looking for. For restaurants, it might be a little bit expensive, but for a standard Italian restaurant, it’s worthwhile
Outstanding! I guess that's why it was so busy! The coffee was good, served speedily and competently. The food was great. All of it. Rich orange egg yolks and smooth hollandaise. And they know tea too! But topping things off came the countertop baked goods. The raspberry lamington was amazing. Honestly, if you see it, don't hesitate. Indulge. You won't regret it. Yum yum yum.
Fantastic place for brunch. The staff were just awesome! Food was just superb. I had the asparagus rocket and poached eggs ...very generous serve. The bacon we ordered was delicious.
My partner and I had cakes from the counter -the espresso/coffee mascarpone one was amazing and the quince and almond tart was beautiful too. Comes on pretty vintage plates that fits perfectly the sort of vintage/industrial decor. I also had a lemon honey and ginger hot drink that looked really pretty in ombré shades with a big amount of amber coloured honey at the bottom.
Came in for breakfast and it was close by to where we are staying. Staff are so friendly and lovely, very helpful. I ordered the banana bread and it is so filling! The bread has an interesting texture but lovely flavour. Would recommend!
I went here recently for lunch and study by myself and the food was so delicious and the staff were super friendly and attentive! It’s also nice to see the staff laughing and chatting amongst themselves every so often while also putting the customer first ☺️
absolutely incredible brunch this morning. Service impeccable. Atmosphere is sublime. Decor is stunning and incredibly well done. I absolutely loved the scrambled eggs, true perfection there! My dad had the smoked fish hash and we were both very impressed with how light and delicate it was for a potato based dish. This is Wellington’s best spot. Definitely blows any Queenstown and Auckland establishments out the water for me. My compliments to all staff!
Went here for brunch and ate something new to me -- FISH HASH; see pic.
I am from the USA and am a huge diner aficionado, having eaten all kinds of hash, but the dish provided to me was dee-licious!
My waitress was friendly; we had a nice chat. Service was exceptional ‐‐ I was forced to give a large tip! lol
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

A cozy place. Hospitable hosts (very friendly and kind), really delicious food and beautiful presentation. I love the atmosphere, very chill and great background music. It is one of those places with a bit expensive menu items but good quality - you can enjoy every bite of your meal. The menu is not that extensive but worth it. As it is usually packed, I'd recommend to book in advance and be patient (dishes might take a long time to prepare and expect a delay in bringing in the food). Try the Green eggs 'n ham and the turmeric latte, simply delish.
Was quite busy when we went but staff were super friendly and helpful, took the name & number of one of our group then sent a message when a big enough table was available (about ten minutes).
Once seated, we ordered drinks & decided on food...two of us had the poached eggs on toast with crispy potatoes and bacon...absolutely delicious! Three of us had Oj which was really nice. Portion sizes are just right too.
Would absolutely recommend to others. Well worth the time & money.
Had breakfast with some friends and lucked out getting a big table to accomodate us all. Popular place :) We can see why! Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The food was fresh and cooked to all our tastes.
The coffees were well sized and tasty too.
Definitely going back!
Floriditas is a must visit when in Wellington. It is sun drenched through the big windows, with a cozy interior and absolutely fantastic people working there - very attentive and quick to help. I went for the Fish Pie, which they’ve been making for 18 years and it was perfect, I day dream of this pie now. The coffee is excellent. I think I might come here every time I’m in Wellington.
A walk in fluke, what a find! Thank you so much indeed for a brilliant evening meal. Great food, outstanding service, lovely warm atmosphere - we are telling everyone we know how good this place is. Book now!
I came back after a long, long time. The decor and seating arrangement changed to some extent, but the food is still good.
The staff are friendly and helpful. I can certainly recommend the place.
First time here. We walked in before noon and within half an hour, the place was full. We had Smoked fish hash, The Floriditas fish pie, eggs on toast and coffee. The food was just nice. Service was excellent. We did have to wait around 20min for the food. I thought that was a little long. Would come again when I am in Wellington next.
Had breakfast there 3 days in a row. Coffee is good and the French Toast is my favourite..
