Amazing restaurant ! The food arrived super fast and was so delicious, with so much variety in choices we managed to find something all of us would enjoy as well. We were all extremely surprised at the low cost of everything here as well which is an insane bonus for some great quality food and drink. We ordered 3 mains, 3 sides and 3 drinks and it ended up being under $25 per person which is such a score for any restaurant in the city. I seriously cannot recommend this place enough!!

Good value for the price. Authentic home cook style food. We ordered the eggplant with minced pork and tofu with persevered vege dish. They tasted like comfort food from home. Unlike all the other restaurants that are filled with deep-fried everything with over powering flavoured food.

Okay we all love the quick Chineese takeaway when you have lost the argument on who is going to cook Diner! This place produces outstanding food. Its now our local and we have dined in after going here the fist time. Excellent food and friendly staff who are willing to please. Its nothing flash to look at but thats also part of its appeal. Give it a try you won’t regret it.

Great food. Had fun playing Catan with my new friends. So sad it’s closed now due to unreasonable rent raise. Hope you guys open up somewhere else soon. I’ll bring my wallet and my mouth back to enjoy.

Asia. A continent across from New Zealand, divided by the sea. In an Era where one cannot simply walk around anymore without the fear in their heart that one day society will collapse unto itself, one cannot help but feel nostalgic for the days and meals gone by. Frankly, it’s been difficult finding a good bowl of beef noodles in Wellington. You may say I’m picky, but I have experienced the true dish in Asia, and having had a taste of such luxury, it would be impossible for me not to mentally compare what I eat here to what I eat back home. So colour me surprised when I discovered this little restaurant in the back alleyways. At first I was skeptical, as I am with most new restaurants I go to. Heading in, I did feel slightly nostalgic; the bubble tea posters pasted on the walls and door, the paper signs written in Chinese, the strange yet charming sailing ornaments that look so out of place, yet feel so at home. I sit at counter, and have a read of the menu. A few dishes catch my eye, but then I see it: “Beef noodles”. What should I do? Ignore it and order something I’m guaranteed to like, thus losing my chance to ever experience this variant of the dish? Or take a chance, and risk falling into sadness and disappointment? Having found a new sense of daring in the past year of solitary self fulfilment, I decided that an opportunity missed was an opportunity lost, and went for the meat laden noodle soup. The first bite of the soupy noodles stings my tongue, partly due to my impatience, coupled with my unyielding curiosity. I take a moment to regain my composure, before going in for another bite. This time I prepare myself, fanning the heat and waiting for it to cool, before devouring the string shaped carbohydrates. Flavourful. I tremble. I’m almost shocked. I go for another bite. No. It’s more of a slurp. I go deeper. The noodles are coated in the beefy broth, and each mouthful leaves me wanting more. Before I know it, there is nothing left but soup and minced garlic in the bowl. As a member of the clean plate club, I drink the remains to sate whatever hunger I had left in me, and bask in a sense of warm nostalgia. —————————————————————————————- Ah. How tragic. It appears my flatmates find this review far too long winded. Thus, I can only conclude that the beef noodles are good, so take a chance and have something new. After all, what is life without living?

We stumbled upon this little gem of a Chinese restaurant nestled among other little eateries when strolling through Tory Street. With an unassuming frontage it is quite easy to miss if you're in a hurry. For its size it has surprisingly good facilities (toilets), which surpass even those in some larger, more visible and popular Asian joints!! Their menu description isn't always fully informative but the hot-pot that materialised from our order was really good and makes a great change from the usual greasy, fried options, and surprisingly was great value too! We intend to visit again to explore their menu further to see what other delights are in store for would-be regulars.
