One of the better sushi bars in Wellington CBD. Really nice flavours and tasty seasoning, sesame oil, chili and mixed sesame seeds. Enjoyed the prawns and edamame beans and perfectly cooked rice. Plus very hot miso. The selection and styles of sushe is very different to other Sushi shops nearby. Very friendly staff.
Best sushi I've had in Wellington. Really nice flavours and seasoning, sesame oil, black sesame seeds, pepper, chilli etc. Best selection on offer as well, loved the karange chicken and dumpling. Good miso. Plastic free cardboard box option. Very friendly staff too.
Surprisingly good sushi. Truly proves that fresh is better, everything has a great taste.
An oxymoron is that they serve your sushi to you in a plastic container along with a recycled paper serviette (just kinda funny). Anyway highly recommend.
This place does amazing tasting and fresh sushi! Probably the best sushi in Wellington (potentially also London like my review initially said but that's probably not a useful comparison...).
so yummy i love the fried sushi. good vege options. lady who works there is so so lovely
Delicious sushi for $1 a piece. Staff appeared quite harried but in think thats just down to them being hardworking as opposed to deliberately trying to upset people! Efficient service. Great food, v pleased with my sushi rolls. Sure its nothing like "sushi" you get in Japan, its mostly sushi rolls instead - most places in westernized society class "sushi rolls" as "sushi"... not sure what the problem is with previous reviewers to be honest. Wasabi had a whack!
Come here all the time for lunch! Probably my favourite sushi place. Sushi is always fresh, and there is always a great vege selection. Staff are very friendly too.
It's fresh and it's really delicious.
I don't know why there's no review.
There's always a lot of customers here.
I think it's the best sushi in Wellington.
Some of the best sushi in Wellington, Midland sushi has a good selection of freshly made stuff to fill your tummy at lunchtime. They've got a tiny store, so it's not a place to stay and eat, but it's close to the CBD, and in summer Midland Park is a sunny space to sit, eat, and avoid the pigeons.
Great sushi, made fresh on premise with very cool staff. The only issue you'll find is the long queue at lunch times. So get yours as soon as you can. It is worth it.
