WOW.....my wife and i really enjoyed ourselves. The pizzas were great , the service was tops and the live band ( dave and friend ) absolutely blew us away....here , in the middle of heaven....another piece of sunshine.
We definately recommend this cafe on friday nights. Sit back , enjoy the food and beverages and soak up the music or go up , sing a song yourself or do a bit of poetry.....Eleven out if Ten...we will be back...thanks guys

Lovely garden setting with indoor and outdoor areas available. Reasonable prices. All four family members enjoyed their lunches.
My New Bride and I had our reception at HWC after getting married at Cathedral Cove. Mary and the staff were awesome, we had a completely Vegetarian meal and every single person, meat eater or vegetarian loved the meal. The food was awesome and you will be blown away by the setting. There is plenty of Kiwiana, and a very peaceful atmosphere. The staff is wonderful and the band provided was awesome. I would recommend HWC to anyone looking to go there!

Kai was delicious 😋, kāwhe was perfect, atmosphere lovely 😍, and service excellent 👍.
It's worth looking at the Gallery & Art work as well. Currently displaying Art from students at a local school, some great talent there.

THE perfect spot when in hot water beach. Incredible food and coffee! Absolutely loved the presentation and ambiance. Very spacious cafe with cozy couches, outdoor green space, and a cute cat! The food was so fresh and tasted incredible.
Lovely coffee shop with relaxed vibes, great lunch and dessert options and friendly staff. Nice and close to Hot Water Beach. I would especially recommend the lemon velvet cake (not pictured as I ate too quickly 🤭) if they have it in their cabinet!
What could be better than ordering a vegan version of French toast with a latte made with oat milk and decaf espresso infront of a fire? What arrived was so beautifully designed that I actually had to take a photo first. It was culinary art prepared with great attention to detail and love. The taste was divine. A wonderful owner-operated café, taken over by the owners a year ago. It offers ample space for art and is a great meeting place for a chat with the community.
Food is excellent! Tasty and well prepared.

Update on the wonderful Hot Waves Café. Open every day with an original inspired menu that is well worth trying. The café and beautiful grounds have undergone a transformation and update and remain one of our favourites on the Coromandel. Hidden away back behind Hot Water Beach is the perfect café that the locals would love to keep secret. There is now craft beer on tap and great local wine options. Really, what more can you want? Well worth dropping in for breakfast, lunch, or just to relax and have a quiet brew. It's well worth the effort, check out the art on displayed around the café, very highly recommended.

We visited Hot Waves Cafe via Hip Hop & Vines Tour on Saturday 14th October. The owners were amazing, super friendly and so hospitable, nothing was a problem and they made our stay so fun! Thank you for having us - The Wild Hens x
Amazing cafe in Hotwater Beach. Own car park, but also less than 5min walk from the main beach car park (in case you've already paid for parking).
Friendly staff and great looking dishes from the counter. We opted for hot food and coffee.
There is a climbing frame and slide to keep toddlers entertained and a stunning garden terrace to enjoy hotter weather.
There is ample seating indoors in case it's raining.
It was a great place to go for breakfast 😋 while we were in this town.
