My go-to place for coffee and lunch if I’m at uni or work. Outdoor seating is great but there are so many little bugs flying around.
Indoor seating is much tidier. Food and coffee is pretty decent. Cold brew with lemon wedge is 👌 💯 portions are decent too.
One of the more classy coffee places to visit in the city. Although the level of service varies, the menu choice never disappoints, as is the case with the coffee itself. I would struggle to recall another place offering such comfortable seating.
I used to come here to drink coffee and read poetry with a friend! Great mornings~ The ambience is very peaceful and cosy - the environment itself is very large and warm! Perfect for a rainy day or just a wanting a little place to escape. Their coffees are soothing and their staff is very friendly! A relaxing place to enjoy some good drinks and to chill out! Would love to come here again, but we’ll see when university lets me :((((
I really like their ice coffee. I don't normally drink coffee coz i don't like bitter.... Even mocha i still need to add sugar... But this ice coffee was super nice and full of milk, creamy sweet but still have coffee flavour. Decor pretty nice and modern, jusr too many flies at outside seat area.

Iced creme brûlée and cookies&creme fraps. So nice and cooling. Reasonable price about $8 for large size. We usually use the Entertainment Book vouchers so even cheaper as buy 1 get 1 free. Fast service. Lots of place to sit, full of students.
A nice cafe to hang out in, especially as a student. Free wifi, and plenty of seats.
I got the iced mocha with crossaint. Just overall nice cafe food and drinks. Nothing amazing, nothing bad.
Good calm atmosphere, good for studying which is what a lot of people do already. Service is good. They close really late which is something I like
One of my go to spots for coffee! Drinks are quite expensive, however, its worth it for the ambience and the quality of service that is provided! The staff are super friendly and I always come here with my friends at least once a week. It is located in a really convenient place, close to the universities and queen street. I give this a 5 because im quite biased, but here is my take on the place:
PROS:
- Very tasty drinks
- Friendly service
- Good ambiance
- Convenient
- Typical cafe food
CONS:
- Expensive (they offer a 10% discount to students)
- Can get crowded and busy during peak hours
- You have to ask for the toilet key since it IS a public toilet which can be a nuisance, but its necessary
Location is great, near many restaurants and close to Albert Park. Had a flat white and it was well prepared at the right temperature. There is an additional area on the left towards the toilets with comfy seats and couches. WiFi is available in decent speed. Outside there are umbrellas and seating. Nice to take a break in the middle our busy schedules.
Coffee could be better/stronger. But the Wifi is absolutely excellent and there are a whole bunch of power plugs and sturdy tables, so this is really a great place to get some work done if you're on the move. Only 4 stars because of the coffee.
Jan 2020: One good thing about this place is that it is open at the beginning of January, when many places are closed. It is also quite nice to work in. The Danish was dry as hell and the coffee is average. When I asked the waitress for the WiFi code she told me that it is written at the entrance. Today the bathroom was out of order. I think of this place as a compromise out if necessity.
Jun 2021: One of not many places in CBD for work. If you just after coffee and free WiFi it's a place to be.
Really nice coffee shop with great seating area out the back. Very comfortable and great coffee too with friendly staff!
I was looking for a place to have a nice coffee before continuing with the shopping. There are plenty in Lorne St to choose from but then I saw this café’s chandeliers and I was sold. Just what I needed: good coffee, fast service, relaxing atmosphere and chandeliers 😉

I'm on the other side of the world and randomly stumbled on this place by cruising maps street view feature from boredom. But I must say all the food pictures look so amazing and are making me so hungry I had to leave a review. Keep up the good work, other side of the world people. One day I'll come there in person and eat everything. Everything!!
Excellent coffee place. Far more relaxed than Starbucks and Co and more friendly priced as well. Glad I walked in. Friendly staff!
Overall this place is lovely. Good staff. The only down beat to this joint is that a lot of customers show up in one go and so the people (e.g. Staff on board) do struggle to process orders. However, whilst a bit slow for a city - they do pick up the pace and apologize for anyone that had to endure long waits.
The city always makes nicer coffee and has better options and good corporate crowds in comparison to the suburbs.
