We came here during a really busy night the other week, every table was packed. But we really appreciated that our waitress (I believe her name was Lucy?) worked really hard and seemed to be doing about 30 things at once!! We got our desserts fairly quickly despite how busy it was, and it was yum!
The best curly fries in Auckland and pretty cheap for the portion size as well. Their portions are huge and their dessert menu is pretty good. Not a big fan of their vegetarian mains.
Loved the dessert.....yum. We went at 3am its open 24 hours good crowd and amazing place to hangout.
Visited Denny's with a work colleague for lunch. Nice atmosphere nice food and friendly waitress. The seating was comfortable with a lovely city view out the window. Reasonable price too. Will come back again for sure.
We went here for breakfast, and it was actually really good. Had bacon and eggs with a hash brown. Generous serving size. The hash browns are the flat type (not the compressed slab type), and they were made just right. The coffee was good too. It’s got that American diner vibe, but with a Kiwi touch. The staff seemed a bit over it, but I probably would be too!
This place was very pleasant to eat at, the staff were nice and kind and the food was so delicious. Served piping hot and huge portion for the prices

It was surprisingly good for the low expectations I had. The bangers and mash were good and the cheese toastie had heaps of cheese where the cheese was oozing out.
The lady that served us was nice and I honestly don’t know why this place has such a bad rating:(
It’s Denny’s not a fancy restaurant and I think they serve pretty good comfort food for what it is!

This Denny’s been here for like forever!! Good late night eatery in the CBD. Personally we don’t have any complaints about their food or service yet, touch wood. Its diner kinda food, so dont expect top notch service. They do loyalty points as well and have underground carpark. We usually order their chicken wings, surf&turf and curly fries.
Nice little booths! I'm always attracted by the breakfast menus but I decided to try a meat lovers skillet, the curly fries as always and a banana split! The portion was really big as per usual! A bit too much cream on the banana split but had several hearty scoops of chocolate and vanilla ice scream! The skillet had roasted potatoes, scrambled eggs with mozzarella cheese and little cut bits of bacon and sausage. Although they weren't amazingly seasoned, they were still hearty pieces of meat goodness which I appreciate. The curly fries are always a winner for me though! Denny's will always be my go to for a meal when I'm looking to eat my heart out and not wanna risk getting a tiny expensive meal.
There Alot of mixed reviews seen on here. Don't be expecting a fine dine experience. But you get what you pay for. With all the inflated prices around us I was pleased with what I got. It's more of a down to earth feel eating here, nothing extravagant but a hearty meal.
As always with Denny’s the food is on the pricey side but it’s a good once in a while restaurant to go to. The food was quite nice to have, I especially enjoyed the curly fries. I reckon the burger could have been a little better but not as bad as some others have been. The oreo milkshake, as always, is to die for and is well worth the $9 you have to pay for it. Great atmosphere, and great for the family (it is a family restaurant after all). However I will say it is a little difficult to get to by car, you have to make sure you are in the right most lane to not miss the turn off into the parking. I believe it’s free parking as long as you eat at Denny’s. We just parked a little further away and walked which was easier for us.
Came for breakfast. Honestly these meals are huge. You get value for money here. We took home alot of left overs and containers are easily accessible for customers.
We were promptly seated and given a nice booth. Our order was taken quickly and food arrived with no delays. Its quite busy here and I think that's really great. It's quite tired looking decor but is made up by easy parking great friendly staff and good food. Smoothies and milkshakes were YUM!
Best burger trending for me a little on the pricey side being $26 but it's well worth imo. And waffles are to die for!
It's good for a Denny's. My deep-fried snapper was full of scales though, which was a bit yuck. The food is a bit inconsistent in quality
Food was good. The curry served was indian curry. I got a shock when my fish and chips was served. The portion was big. Service was good though we waited quite a while for our food to be served. Family restaurant.
Like the other reviews here, I do think Denny's could use more staff. While the entrance (by the stairs) kind of smells like urine, and the quality of the food isn't amazing, I do think the portions are massive and you get free refillable coffees (I had 3, no regrets) with a breakfast item. Strangely enough, for whatever reason, I do enjoy coming here. It's quiet, open late night and the FOH staff are friendly. There's something about Denny's.

The food was tee-lee-zious 😋 Service was on point. Friendly staff. The only negative thing about my visit was the carpark (underground carpark) omg it was nek level STINK i ended up wit a super bad migrane the second we left the carpark coz of the smell. Pls team, someone needs to get down there and clean that damn carpark.
Treated my girls to late Dennys dinner and they were not disappointed. Our waiter was lovely and the food was good. Also the toilets were so clean and my youngest said they smelt good lol. was a great end to our great day out in the city.
