Has been a while, but spent a lot of Fridays here with old friends reminiscing over their lives.
Excellent coffees, great morning/ brunch food and always affable staff. Great at this tome of day before lunch when lots of locals and business types arrive. Ample parking near door for ability challenged and aged.
Great and enjoyed the odd Sunday outing too. Recommended.
Nice and cozy place by the little creek. If you come on a bright sunny day it would be the nature's retreat.
Walk in and feel yourself at home garden atmosphere. Friendly service, nice coffee and brunch offers such a nice conversation start.
Try the mushroom on toast, quiche and dessert you wouldn't regret.
And also the dessert in cabinet, lots of choices.
Do enjoy the lovely country cottage feeling and bring someone special to stop by. visiting whitford area.
Lovely outdoor seating which is dog friendly, it looks out to a river and open grass area. We had a yummy berry smoothie to go with loaded wedges and pancakes. The wedges were really nice and crunchy, pancakes were nothing more than homemade ones. They were rather thin and dry
Hi,Well we had lunch/brunch, you will possibly recall our visit as I was the last to arrive,late! and got a round of applause!! It just got better, great food, awesome coffee and brilliant staff. Definitely on my list of cafes to revisit in the future, look forward to sitting outside in the kinder weather, lovely setting.Thanks again, we all thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
Had a delicious brunch here with friends on the weekend. The French Toast was to die for and they even acommodated for our friend who was vegan by making a special meal. Will definitely be back!
Best eggs bene in auckland! Great coffee, Lovely, friendly staff, they have yummy cakes and sweets all home made :) cant fault it, one of my favourite cafes and am a very regular customer
Beautiful little cafe hidden in Whitford south Auckland. Quiet, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Child friendly, and super helpful staff. Food is always incredible, and never skimp on portion sizes. To top things of their specialty hot drinks are a brunch must have. From butterscotch to white chocolate lattes or just a good honest coffee. A lovely Sunday morning go to with my partner.
The cafe was quiet when we got there. It had a nice outdoor area and kids playing area. The staff was friendly when I ordered. We had bacon&egg pie, salmon&asparagus quiche and ice coffee. Overall the food was pleasant, it had a very homemade feel to it. The ice coffee had a strong coffee taste but not cold enough.
My husband, daughter and myself frequent this lovely cafe. The staff are always welcoming and make great coffee. I love the setting and its great to get away from it all and enjoy the peace.
Perhaps the only recommendation is new seating outside as the seats are looking a little tired.
Went here for my birthday brunch with my Mum and sister and had some of the best pancakes I've ever had! Came with ice cream, maple syrup and berries - which is my absolute favourite combination. My sister really enjoyed them too.
Mum got a ham, cheese and mushroom toasted sandwich that was delicious and we all got hot drinks - cappucino and hot chocolates.
The hot chocolates were so good! Perfect temperature, deliciously chocolatey and overall awesome. Definitely not like the ones we get elsewhere that taste more like hot water than anything else.
Really impressed with this place and would definitely go back. Great service, great food, great location.
Had a lovely breakfast. We ordered the fish wjth poached egg and the breakfast bowl which included a poached egg, avocado, crumbed chorizo, polenta cubes. Very filling but healthy and light.
The Corner is the Local for me! Always find great service and great food. Sometimes Skeptical of a loaded fries but this one did not disappoint! Definitely recommend :)
Breakfast here is phenomenal. Very impressed with both meals we had. Diverse flavors, well presented, unique options. Seemed a tad pricey but more than worth it, very fresh with attention to detail, portion size is generous as well. Very pleased we stopped by, best breakfast I've had in a long time.
My friend and I went here for breakfast. We were greeted with a smile by a lovely young man, I think he was the manager. It was such a pleasant experience. I had the herbed mushroom breakfast and it was a 10/10! Great hospitality, food and service. Can’t wait to return. Thank you!
We waited for quite some time but the food were incredibly delicious. Very flavorful and quite big portions. We were so full at the end. Definitely going back to try out the other dishes! :)
Feb 2021 update: Menu has changed since the last time I was there but food was still incredible!!
I always have fantastic experiences here. Menu changes regularly and is always of a high standard. Staff are lovely and professional. One of my favourite places to dine.

I had the French toast and couldn't fault it.
Husband had the hash cakes. His only fault was he wanted more. 😊
My friend and I found with recommendation via Google. The locale has a comfortable atmosphere, though a touch loud. The food was quite tasty and flexible as I’m Vegetarian. I had their Breakfast Burrito substituting mushrooms for the chorizo; and she got the Tuna Tacos...yummy!
Food here is absolutely superb. Cut above your general cafe fare. Twists that take things to another level. The lemon curd and almond tart was amazing.
Cosy, friendly staff and wonderful service. Lovely place to hangout or stopover. Been here 4x, and they never fail to make me and my friends feel welcome. Generous food serving, good beer and wine selection, quality products used, reasonable price. Highly recommended.
