We went to eat the beef and chicken empanadas. They were delicious and full of flavour. Highly recommend pairing them with some margaritas.

Love there tacos!! One of my favs in Chch. They taste fresh, delicious and filled well. I have been a few times during my lunch break while at work and the service has always been fast and friendly.

I come to Riverside fairly often and every single time I make a straight shot for this place. Every single time I get the nachos with chicken or veges, and get them hot with jalapeños. Every single time it is the most delicious well balanced incredible bowl of nachos. Every time I eat it it’s like everything around me goes away and it’s just me and these nachos. I love nachos and these are perfect. Even as riverside goes the wait times are quick. Every time I’m walking back outside after grabbing my nachos I get scared that someone will bump into me and I will drop them. I hold onto them like they’re the last thing I will ever eat. The combination of sauces is immaculate in the hot version and the heat level is perfect. Not too much yet still a good heat to bring all the flavours together. They’re incredible. I feel myself rising up from the floor and flying through the clouds with every bite. Any time I’m really hungry there is no other meal I’d rather have. I wish I could have them every day. El Rancho I love you and I love your nachos. Ever since I discovered this meal my life has been a bit brighter. Thank you for this blessing and please never ever change them. Thanks.

Everyone must eat here. Stunning food and lovely staff. Whether you are looking for a great food at reasonable price or trying to find an authentic Mexican eatery, El Rancho is definitely the go to place in Christchurch.
